I fell once from my motorcycle when I was going up the ramp into the highway, so still not a full speed, and I still slid for 2-3 seconds.
My kevlar reinforced trousers saved my legs, my stiff long boots saved my ankle when the motorcycle fell on top of it, my M3 padded, kevlar reinforced jacket saved my arms and shoulders, my hardshell guanlets saved my hands. And finally, by perfectly smooth abrasion cut on the lateral of my helmet, my full face helmet saved my life. I could have died with a bucket helmet, or at the very least, I could have lost my jaw and look like Two-Face because of the abrasion burns.

Schools often teach it in the least helpful ways, and don't teach the important stuff like how to do proper hygiene steps and how to understand when your body is warning you about possible infections or issues.
Like how the joke about vaginas smelling like fish is actually a sign that the ph levels are messed up and you might actually be getting or already have an infection. Because normally vaginas don't smell like that fishy smell unless something is wrong. This is something I did NOT learn in sex ed, and instead almost had to learn it the hard way. Remember guys gals and all those with a human with a uterus in their life, fish smell does not equal funny joke, but health issue that people need to take a little more seriously to keep everyone healthy.
In my state, only Abstinence sex education is allowed to be taught. They teach nothing about actual safe sex or ways to prevent teen pregnancy, just to not have sex. We all know that won't fucking happen.

The thing I like the least about ice skating is the pain in my butt after falling for the third time on the same cheek trying to make the same trick.
I so much prefer skiing and snowboarding. Snow is hard, but ice is like jagged concrete. I once sliced my hand on an ice mark. It wasn't dangerous or deep, but it bleed like a mf.
In summary, always wear gloves when ice skating, even if your gf forgets her and you offer yours. Always carry a second pair.

I like how one chatter immediately went "STEROIDS" with the Jujimofo clips. Steroids or not, and acknowledging the stuff he used to do was very stupid and dangerous - Steroids don't give you magic super strength. That's not how it works. If someone is using roids, they actually still have to do the work. At a basic level, skipping all the medical stuff that I'm not an expert in, all steroids are doing is reducing down time, so basically time you spend recovering and not working out.
This means they get back in the gym faster. But they're still there, doing the workouts. If you just inject roids and don't lift anything, you're not going to wake up the next day and magically have gained 150 pounds of muscle and be able to lift boulders.
