Very musical sounding synth module there. Nice creative patches. Has a unique sound compared to say the Poly Brut, the Moog One. A certain clarity that seems to make it unique sounding.
A lot of really REALLY nice patches in this pack. I thought, "Man, the hilarity of using a synth like the Summit as a midi controller for the desktop Super 6", but then recalled that I use my Polybrute as the controller for MY Super 6. :D A good keyboard is just a good keyboard. :D
Magnificent! I wonder how one would set sliders, buttons, switches, etc to ones from a patch? I believe it'd need a "catch up" mode similar to one on Eventide pedals to understand where everything was when patch was saved.
@@bdotstanley thanks for the response. I'm just wondering how it affects learning. For example, if I load one of the presets from this video - how do I know how it's made? No easy way atm as I understood. Editing software seems to be the only rescue in the future.
Finally a demo thats not 90% space sounds... I was starting to wonder about this synth ??? People are going to burn me probably about my next statement, but it doesn't seem as versatile as my REV2 16V.! ... REV 2 was hammered early on as being thin, but it seems to me that now the years have passed and people have unlocked it depths a bit more there is (for me) a new found appreciation. This may also happen for the SUPER 6 I believe because, I am still getting a lot of frying bacon and squeeky stuff coming out of it, but there was some nice tones (for once) in this demo!! Good Job Mate !
haha.. Frying Bacon...Love it...What you're talking about there is actually Filter Modulation or maybe you mean the High Pass Filtering, which I love. I use it as an added "Flavour" but it's under your control with Aftertouch/Expression Pedal. The REV 2 is a very good Synth for sure, I've made 2 Banks for it with the last using both Layers for all 128 Patches...took me ages, but I wanted to see what it would sound like. I don't know what you've heard before but this is a very capable Synth and has been quite an eye opener for certain sounds which I cannot do as well on other Synths.
Great sounding patches, will definitely be purchasing I've just agreed on a trade with my OB6. If you had to pick out of this and the OB6 which one would you choose?
@@brettchassen2888 Funny you should mention that, I own a Peak, which is essentially an 8-voice Summit, and I also can't really make any really stellar sounds. That said, there's a guy on RUclips named Mike Lewis who makes patches on his Peak and the thing sounds absolutely mind-blowing. In fact, I've seen quite a few demos from people who can get so much sparkle, movement, brilliance, and mood out of both the Peak and the Summit. I chalk the "bland" up to user error. (again, mine too) :D Just a idea, though.

You're right it does have its own sound, especially with the Filter/Frequency Modulation which can be tracked, i've enjoyed my time with it.

Well, the OB6 is my fav Synth, but the Super 6 is great also, it depends on what else you have.
Amazing synth. A little bit of a disconnect watching it being played from another amazing synth but nevertheless 👍🏽

Just curious, how does the Super 6 stack up against the Summit? I have been eyeing both but not quite sure which to go for. They both sound amazing!
They're both great and of course with the Summit, you get 2 Layers. I find the Sound Quality to be slightly better on the Super 6.
i find the summit to be kinda ‘bland’ 🤷🏼♂️…i had one…Super 6 seems REALLY vibey and lots of character to me…considering one

How is the sound combination between the summit and the udo?
Not done any A/B Comparison yet, the Summit is just a controller at this point.
How are you doing the patches Jamie, are they 12 voice flavour or 6 voice stacked for binaural mode?
Or are you doing a combination of both?
It's a Combination of both really, the Binaural mode is good, but sometimes it's a bit too much and on some sounds I wanted to maximize the Polyphony.
@@GEOSynths I guess Unison would be better to use than Binaural mode in some cases, thanks for the explanation.
@@dankeplace Well, Binaural is on for mono Sounds, you can't change that, it's how the outputs are set up.
@@GEOSynths This is why they use DDS instead of traditional oscillators right? so they have precise control that does not go out of phase?
