I never fully understood brain damage until I had children. And I’ve definitely used the multiple “come here” approach (mostly in honor of this sketch).
I grew up on Cosby and remember watching this with my mom and uncles. I loved him. My grandmother REFUSED to watch it. She said she hated him and he was gross. I NEVER understood. The man didn’t even curse. When I’d ask her to elaborate, she’d just say maybe one day. She said she knew who he was BEFORE the Cosby show and while she enjoyed the show, she’d always say he was a fraud. When the show ended, I remember my aunt and her friends talking about it. None could understand why. My aunt just said it was too phony, but her rationalization was it being about a black doctor and lawyer as the parents. We had college educated people in our family, my grandmother had a degree in teaching, so I didn’t get it. Now I know in her teenaged mind (she was an oops baby, only 10 years older than me and a teenager at the time the show ended), that was her trying to fill in the blanks my grandmother left. My grandmother has since gone on to glory and never explained why she hated him, we never really asked her about it again. With all that has happened since her death, I now have more questions than answers. Yet and still, I love this standup.
I bet what ever word he used if it was translated for everyone the whole planet would be laughing with Cosby's special because it is the same everywhere ! He was always hilarious !!!!
umm china does not allow breeders to rack up children. they probably scoff at people with 5 kids cause they know they have to raise the brats since the parents let them run wild. also; they simply dont let their kids run wild an actually raise them. to start. 2nd myself the second someone mentions parenting it makes mr wanna vomit not laugh; mostly for the same reasons. breeders aren't funny; altho i do like to get in high speed car wrecks so to each their own!

Off topic I noticed when I had male high school teachers vs female teachers. All the men usually said to sit down one time loudly and everyone listened while the female teachers typically had to say it multiple times throughout class if we were talking loudly.
You know, I used the 'I don't know' phrase when my division officer asked me why I wasn't at a particular place I was supposed to be. My division officer apparently didn't find it amusing..
Maybe I'm crazy but I might have an idea from which parent they inherited their brain damage and their desire to touch people who say they don't want to.
Music might be on life support now compared to back then but comedy clearly continued to evolve for the better. Btw it could've been him that touched her😂
The entire show was hilarious. I have a copy of it I had my folks watch and they were rolling with laughter the entire show. 😂
