These are rare MAS-36 CR 39 7.5x54 mm MAS carbines. CR mean "Crosse Repliable" (folding stock), and indeed, the aluminuim stock fold downward. You can see one these actual carbine in action, in the following video (in French...but shooting is shooting) ruclips.net/video/sKXHdGM19wI/видео.html Time code on the video 4:30.
In fact, it is not really needed as long as your target is a vehicle (main, not to say, only purpose of the weapon : no wasting of such an ammo!). According to our shooting session, hit probabilities are very good on vehicle up to more than 1000 m, and even on a vehicle part up to 400/500 m. During WW2, it was advice to Red Army soldiers to to engage ennemi target at range the don't exceed 250-300 m (because of ammo AP performance)...so, no scope needed! It can be noted that after the war, some weapons were encountered with PU style scope. But I am not sure that's a soviet service modification... Greetings from France.
They didnt have the capability to make that many scopes in the middle of the german invasion. Also it was not needed since german tanks were engaged in distances 250-350 meters.
0:46 you know the gun is big when you can hear a separate click from the hammer before the round is fired😂
Imagine an SKS but chambered in a round twice as powerful as a .50cal
The engineers of this gun fr went like that
imagine the slam fire. 🙄
.50 cal isn’t a round white boy lmao.
.50 BMG is though.

If I were to be presented with deactivating my PTRS-41, I would have lost it in a boating accident
@@thesaul9484 That thing would not remain deactivated for long.
Can some one tell me the name of the 2 rifles pictured in the back when he’s shooting the gun towards the end of the video

@@laipublications thank you for your reply. This was very insightful.
Because at the rang you would need a scope for the rifle, the rounds wouldn’t be able to penetrate a tank/armoured cars armour
