- Опубликовано: 21 дек 2024
- PFAS, artificial chemicals known for their water and oil repellency, pose environmental and health risks. BIO-SUSHY aims to embrace innovation by utilizing sustainable sources for coatings with equivalent repellent properties.
The project aligns with the European Union's commitment to a circular and low-carbon economy and the chemical strategy for sustainability (CSS). The BIO-SUSHY team, comprising a diverse consortium from 7 European countries and 1 EU-associated country, is dedicated to reducing PFAs impact, fostering research and development, and creating new business opportunities.
The BIO-SUSHY project follows the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework, ensuring safety and sustainability from the initial design to the entire life cycle. This approach involves redesigning materials for safety and sustainability and assessing their environmental impact.
