This first episode might give the wrong impression that this is not much more than a walking simulator, but don't worry, the game is full of action after this. You can run through this chapter rather quickly, but I wanted to show all the dialogues, as usual. Also, I want to make it clear that this is not a "no damage" run. I will be taking damage, especially when fighting against soldiers.
Though it might sound weird, I actually PREFER when you take (some) damage in your runs. Becuase it shows off more of the games systems, like health management.
I've gota say...this is a project of love. More so than the vast majority of games (which many are labors of love) this one..was pure fandom being expressed purely. The amazing part is they did it in such a way that the veterans can laugh and smile at the refrences, the tributes, the call backs but the newbie doesn't feel lost. If the name "Barney" doesn't make you smile..so what? if the comments about "you-know-whose" lunch doesn't trigger..so what? but if you do..it adds another layer. This is a brilliant written game, that was than redone by equally brilliant people who wanted to bring it back to life decades later and they did! We haven't even picked up a gun and begun the real meat of this whole thing..and its already a rush of nostalgic joy. I'm really looking forward to this, and I hope you Pato, (and anyone else who reads my comments) can enjoy my trip down memory lane, and the comparison with what we have today. :D
Am newly subbed to this channel, but so far, patologTV is quite a blast to watch. Hope the Blue Shift remake, made by the same people, is as triumphant when it comes out of Early Access.

It's funny because the formulas, data, diagram and comments over the whiteboards in the laboratories almost make sense. The Kranikov tube diagram, the Morris-Thorne tensor, all very accurate and appropriate details by the Crowbar Collective to have an insight of what they are working on.
This reminds me of the base in Dulce New Mexico. The Symbol is the same. Makes it kinda fishy if you think about it because both facilities do the same research, OPerhoas this game was based on the Dulce Base.
What the hell is wrong with all those people's forearms? Their arms and weird hands reach down to their knees. Are they researching long forearm disease in those facilities?

Well, this is just an otherwise excellent fan remake. What you're referring to is the original Half-Life with Blue Shift and Opposing Force, which you can get at most cheaply from Steam/GOG.
