k d performed at both winter Olympics in Canada. Two VERY different genres and both immensely enjoyable. Watch them back to back, it will blow your mind.

May I suggest watching k.d. sing So In Love on the David Letterman show. Her version is the best I've ever heard, and I've heard countless performances of this Cole Porter classic. k.d. was one of several artists who contributed to the album of Cole Porter songs. The album was done for charity and was titled Red, Hot, and Blue.
An early song...of kd's...which shows her vocals as well is Pullin Back the Reins. I'm not a country fan, but kd sounds phenomenal, no matter what.
She worked with Patsy Cline producer hence this song from that Album.

Just hearing her speaking about her talking about her boots makes me miss the couple of years I spent living in the best city in Canada, Calgary Alberta.
Oh, and I felt the same way about my boots, although I just bought longer socks!
I agree - Patsy Cline would be a very enjoyable rabbit hole. Start with Sweet Dreams. She had a beautiful voice.
I guess you got blocked for the video and that's why it's greyed out. I had to go look up the original to watch it. I first heard of kd in an interview on CBC radio one morning, before anyone knew who she was. She was telling the host that she thought she may have been the reincarnation of Patsy Cline, and that's why she named her band The Reclines. They are in this video. Later that same weekend I happened to be having a glass of wine in the afternoon at a small venue in town, and when the staff began setting up for a show we decided to stay without knowing anything about the musicians. Well, it was kd lang and The Reclines, and they blew us completely away. She gave the most amazing, acrobatic, dramatic and hyper perfomance you can imagine, and I remember feeling dazed. This video would only have been a small part of it.
