- It is so sad when homeless dogs have to live in terrible conditions and with a lack of food, have to carry a healthy pregnancy. I really hope to add 100 new recurring members today so we can grow our team. We are getting called for more and more emergencies, and having a set amount of funds I can count on monthly is so critical for our operation. When we received the text on the #HopeForPaws line about Pearl, Loreta and I headed out right away. We were told she lived under a huge container, so we took every piece of plastic fencing we had. The rescue was tricky and the area we had to contain was huge, so there was a pretty serious danger that she would run away. I don't want to share more of the story here... it's best just to watch it.

Adopt, don't shop! I adopted a senior dog 18 months ago and it was the best decision I'd made in a long time. Please, please consider senior dogs!
Good on you👍. I have myself adopted a senior dogs two times❤. Older dogs and cats deserve love too. I'm never buying a pup or a kitten. Not as long as there are homeless dogs and cats in the world.
It always breaks my heart when they have to go. That was the reason why I adopted only young ones. I have 2 Belgian Shepherds. One of them is only 5.5 months old but was already at the shelter at very young age. The older one is 5 years now and I had adopted her at the age of 5 months. She was in a shelter, too.
I don't know why more people don't do that. no potty training.
I adopted a senior cat. Lost him earlier this year, but he was my love, my baby. I only got five years with him, but he had been in the shelter for a year and a half before I adopted him. I'm glad he had a nice place to live, with love, cat treats and soft beds. My time with him was short, but I loved him with all my heart. Please please please consider senior animals when adopting. They have so much love to give still.
I like to think that Ruby is just waiting happily at the Rainbow Bridge, watching back and smiling and waiting to be eventually reunited with her mommy and siblings some day.

Yes....that has got to be the way it is....otherwise, what is the use in being born. That has got to be what it is all about. But, I still don't understand why there has to be sooo much heartache. 💕

Ruby will be waiting for her family in heaven after her mommy and siblings pass away someday. At least Ruby was with her Mom and siblings in her final moments after two days. It's sad that she didn't make it through the night.
Crying for Ruby. Pearl looked exhausted while having a bath. I’m just glad she was caught before the babies were born. Happy ending for 3 of them.

Those bath scenes never get old. It always seems to me at that point the dog is realizing life has taken a turn for the better.
My dog's name is Ruby... so naturally... I cried like crazy. So glad Mum and her two other babes are safe.

Ruby is now in a place where there is a big grass field with rivers and a sandy beach for her to run at.

Garnet turned out to be such an adorable little chunk, and Diamond is just beautiful. Pearl was obviously a fabulous mother, and I know she's grateful she could have her puppies in a clean, safe environment.

So sad Ruby passed but good to know she was in good hands before her passing.
She didn't spend those 2 days on the ground under a shipping container...she was with her mama in a clean, safe, loving home.
I've fostered quite a few cat litters, and, sadly not all the kittens made it. I had to take comfort in knowing that even though their whole lives were only a few days or a couple weeks, they were safe and loved for every second of that time.
@@Terri_MacKay yes that’s why I’m glad she was with her family in good care before she passed. Even though it was only 2 short days, I’m just glad she was loved before she had to go. Just sad that she didn’t make it but I do understand that’s what happens in some cases. 😭

@@possumqe9751 Have you ever watched Viktor Larkhill’s Channel? Lots of dogs for example that are not developed correctly. You always have to rule out all possibilities and I have no idea if they even took her to the vet

The HFP Team is amazing for all the places they venture to save these lucky animals! Down the landscaping on the sides of freeways; under shipping containers and houses; into attics; into river beds and into the desert and the mountains; and so many more places that I can’t recall. You make me happy to be a monthly supporter.
For me, the best bit on all the rescue videos is when the animals are bathed, fed, watered and given a soft, warm bed. They must feel so safe and secure. Keep up the amazing work you do guys.

Hope for Paws does more than just save one animal at a time, the dogs and cats received medical care including being spayed and neutered, this slowly but surely decreases the population of these animals that we don't see suffering--from this video you can see they hide when frightened, wounded, or ill. I may be a small monthly donor to Hope for Paws, but I think I part of the "bread and butter brigade" for animal rescues.
All donations are important and they all add up! Thanks for donating to them! Because they do take the animals straight for medical care, baths, etc. I put them at the top of the rescues for being among the best out there!
Not only important for treating their medical issues but in case they have something contagious is another reason to take them for a medical check and care if needed before having them around other animals!

I dont donate to Hope for Paws but I’ve spent a lot of my own money on the cats in my neighborhood getting them neutered or spayed and I worked with a rescue group in the area who helped me to find homes for kittens, and some adult cats. The 2 cats I have now are brother and sister, he I rescued at 4 months and her I got when she was pregnant I took her in and eventually kept her-her kittens all went to good homes. It’s a lot of work and money and I’m not a 501c so I get no help other than what the groups offer me, but its better than seeing these cats struggle outside like they would otherwise. I cant just watch them suffer, so I try to help them.
Me too. Many small donations on a regular basis ensure adequate funding for Eldad and crew to continue the great work!
@@MiaKatharine thank you! While it's nice to see these instances where 1 or a few pets are rescued, spaying and neutering community and feral cats saves so many lives. I hope Hope for Paws will do a video about TNR to shed a light on its importance for neighborhoods to get involved.

Lovely memories of my Akita in the UK years ago giving birth (she escaped while on heat. No stopping a wannabe mum).She was so attached to her pups I had to put the lead on her to take her out back for a pee. Her 1st walk on day 4 was round the block at a run. Then the bodeguero, here in Spain 7 years ago. abandoned pregnant that I fostered. decided her bed wasnt the place to give birth but mine was. 7 gorgeous little bodeguero pups. I adopted mum after she was diagnosed with leishmaniosis so difficult to rehome. She is still with me.

Pearl is so sweet and her puppies are adorable. In every video I love to watch these poor abandoned souls have their bubble bath, the look of relief on their faces says a thousand words and then they're able to rest in a warm, clean cosy bed. She was a cute, fluffy, white furball that we rescued from a beach…
She died after celebrating her 18th birthday on Christmas day.
She was the smartest dog EVER!
