One of the greatest games of all time. Man I literally played this game for so many hours in grammar school. I recently bought a PS2 just so I could play this game again 💯
I bought this day 1! Incredible game. Loved the whole "street" genre. We had nba, ballers, nfl, fifa. With tech today, it needs a come back 'BIG" time.
You know EA BIG who published these games back in the day was fire unfortunately modern EA big would be straight up big dog dokeey lol so it's best that it's left in the best generation of gaming ever and far away from the contamination of over monitizations, micro transactions, day 1 game breaking bugs and day 1 patches for 60 to 80 dollar price tags modern companies would just ruin these types of games with their out of touch philosophys.
I was so good of these games as a teen: NBA street 1,2 & 3, NBA ballers, 2k8, Fight Night round 2,3, all WWE games and Tekken 5. I'm the kind of brother you would call your classmates to fight against me. I remember half of my class went to my house to play ps2 games lmao
If you plan on playing this game more in the future holding multiple turbo buttons allow you to do better/harder moves. Gotta have high handling or else they’ll lose the ball tho

My favorite basketball till this day, had this biggest nostalgic feeling when you chose your baller type. Spent hundreds of hours doing everything in this damn game. 🐐
People hold Vol2 as their childhood game and greatest while ignoring V3 when V3 is CLEARLY and by miles away the better game overall. They added so much to this game. V3 was just the pinnacle of the series and was fantastic top to bottom. Don't get me wrong. Vol 2 is one of the greatest sport games of all times, but V3 is just one step above of it
@@pandaxpres lol I disagree. Homecourt’s art direction was great imo. Sure the game wasn’t perfect but EA did a good job of trying new things and utilizing the new systems at the time (PS3 & 360)

The bumper and trigger button give u more advanced moves, works for dunks to. Stringing advanced crossovers mixed with advanced dunks /lobs is how u build gamebreaker. These games revolve around the gamebreaker
If you press the L and R buttons while doing crossovers, you’ll get more points and your game breaker meter will go up faster. Press the L and R buttons while passing to get specialty passes and you press them while you dunk you’ll even get special dunks and you can alley oop to yourself
To me volume 2 is still the best one beacause you still had to actually have some basketball sense and IQ, this shit looks fun but waaaaaaaaaaaaay over the top on dunks.
As an OG player who had this game on its release day, I kept getting disappointed at how many alley-oops he passed up. Would've had a Gamebreaker at 10 pts.
