Romy • I agree it doesn’t really matter aha, the interior with the tiles are very Mexican/Central American and the shape of the roof also. I see a lot of the architecture from there being a lot brighter though. Mediterranean is similar but the roofs are often flat and the houses are almost exclusively white, because of the climate they’re built it it’s used to avoid sun and to keep the indoor cool - the most famous example being Greece. The colours and shape felt more Tuscan which is my favourite style and you see it a lot in Italy/Malta and the surrounding areas. But it’s hard to tell exactly which one in a lot of cases cause they’re built for similar purposes and most people (including architects) mix the styles 🥰

I just started playing The Sims again after like 7 years and your videos have been so helpful because honestly my favorite part of The Sims 4 is building houses. I spent 10 hours yesterday building houses and didn't even play in them at all. The last Sims I played was Sims 3, I hated building in that so I always made my characters for University to avoid it.

Like, start with this house shape, and your budget of $45,000 and you end up with this, but what would you add if you had $75,000, or what would it look like with unlimited budget? Idk how well it would do as a video, but I'd watch the heck out of it (admittedly, like I do all of your content).

Yeah our house came with a free bush in the back garden which gets pretty white flowers from spring through to late summer, a few californian poppies in a dried up old water feature and some wildflowers which are actually a RHS species (Royal Horticultural Society) with some kind of award status. Then in the front between our house and next door (its a terrace property) there is this overgrown fuchsia bush which still hasn't stopped flowering and its the end of October. It has flowers on it most of the year. Then the dandelions everywhere which I like for their pop of yellow, plus they feed the bees their first and last bits of nectar for the year. So not a weed in my eyes. We even got some free uneven terrain that looks like the sort of thing I'd manage to create in the sims. And we gained a bramble at some point. FREE PLANTS FOR THE WIN!
Today I tried to build a house for the first time to see if somehow by magic I was better. It was the ugliest thing i've ever seen in my life 😭 And you are capable of making such pretty and amazing houses ! It is really a gift and a talent !
Just keep at it! Remember, she's been doing this for a long time and she builds multiple times a day as well as every day. Kayla has a lot more practice. Also, I have the same struggle even though I've been watching her and a few other builders on here for a while... I forgot some of her tips for roofing but seeing the video where she showed her mom reminded me of at least one. It'll take time but I'm sure you can improve if you care about doing that. :)
Honestly these kind of build are what ea should be building in new world for starter homes, it not cluttered and surely any machine can run it no problem + it's base game. Maybe you're just a genius I don't know

Try to build a house using no base game items but you can still use like wall tools but other than that all non base game furniture, landscaping, windows/doors, floors, and all that good stuff ❤️

Hey Kayla, would you consider renovating/fixing/rebuilding Chateau Frise from Brindleton Bay? It is just too big and it's a hella awkward shape. I've tried resizing it, repartitioning rooms, moving staircases... it still doesn't look quite right. I'm trying to do a six bedroom house plus 2 separate offices, and it's so huge it should be fine, but it isn't working. Halp!
After renovations and an addition my house had 5 rooms and 2 bathrooms and we had 5 kids 2 parents and always had friends over our back yard was a mini skate park at one point. It got wild.
