    The interesting thing is...
    James Gandolfini, in real life, was a very mellow, cheerful guy. Great acting.
    RIP James. You are SORELY missed. NJs true finest.

    Did anyone else catch at 1:55 how his mother came out of him? "He talked to you! Awww....poor you!" Thats EXACTLY the same trip his mom would lay on him. Excactly something she would have said to him.

    "And fiddle with the air conditioning." That's one thing I loved about this show. Even in some serious moments, it always manages to find a way to slip come comedy in.

      For one, I don’t think he’d actually kill Furio over this. Just because she’s fantasizing about somebody they have to be killed? Other thing is he’d never be killed in Italy. He’s related to to the acting boss.

    That scene HAS to go down in in history as some of the greatest acting in history. On par with the best of the best. Goosebumps man, goosebumps

    Tony may have been a POS, but James was well liked, respected & talented actor who loved his family more than anything in the world. You are missed James.

    That part where he flips out and goes for her, and her reaction when she thinks he's going to smash her face is so well-acted. This is my favourite season finale out of the show's run. Such a master class of acting.

    Always loved this scene. It takes the air out of the room and makes it suffocating and makes u feel like you’re there. Amazing acting amazing scene. Love the Sopranos. Greatest tv show eveh;-)

    I love how for a moment you think he's going to hit her, but he doesn't. Really scary moment. This is just a fantastic scene.

    This is probably one of the best depictions of a husband and wife fighting. Carmela lets her emotions and anger overcome her and throwing Furio under the bus to get at Tony. @1:50 She gets a rare glimpse of the sociopath that she married. She is scared and not sure of what he might do next.

    Falco blew the house down with this episode. Hell, the day this episode aired, everyone knew she was a lock for the emmy and golden globe for best lead actress (against some pretty damn tough competition too). World class acting.

    Edie Falco! James Gandolfino is a perfect mob boss, but I have never seen an actress as good as Edie Falco. Meryl Streep is super talented...almost savant-like, but Edie Falco has access to emotions that I've never seen in any actor before. She actually brings tears to my eyes because she is so amazing.

    These two were made for each other. Shallow, avaricious, incapable of anything deeper in life. But the fact was, and that's what makes this show amazing, is that they wanted something else, they yearned for it. They simply were incapable of finding it, they were caught and couldn't get out. Great show and wonderful writing.

    Furious isn't totally innocent - he almost shoved tony into helicopter blades when he was wasted drunk. Furio came to his senses and fled, but he definitely thought about murdering tony.

    As a married man, in an occasionally contentious marriage, this scene cuts straight to the bone, and is so realistic that it's hard to bare.

    i happen to know from a source that was there for this scene that 5 minutes before Edie Falco was doing some knitting on the set- cool calm relaxed waiting for the call to the set- James was quite the opposite- he was into character 2 hours before in dressing room getting himself all wound up for this scene, screaming, grunting, yelling etc - 2 different methods- amazing outcome from both.

    ! totally agree!..the acting here is Brilliant!! this andt he other scene prior to this one where carmella loses her mind when tony comes home...after she finds out he was cheating.. are 2 of my favourite scenes of the whole show..What makes it even more incredible is that Davis chase says that they had to this scene over and over again..maybe 15 -20 takes...and James gandolfini and Edie falco never lost their edge.. Just great!

    This is so REAL....the emotions....illustrates the basic principle of the primary female need for love, and the primary male need for respect--a truth in ALL marriages. Fantastic writing...I tear up every time I watch this scene!

    Nail on head this scene. Every little detail.. besides the physical altercation of carmelas violent side.. she was not only a narcissist this scence differs throwing a shoe into buffet and breaking glass, and how she tried to kill pinleg ladies only son, her own life. RiP produce 2007/09
