- The Beverley Sisters with a song more in their usual style than the flip side 'Long Black Nylons' • The Beverley Sisters '...
The writers were Maynard and Martin, it is possible that it could be Bill Maynard, he was signed to Decca at this time . The Beverley Sisters also recorded a song titled 'Riding Down From Bangor' with credits to Bill Maynard and his guitar.
I do have to posts of Bill from this time. - Видеоклипы
Fantastic I loved it.
Thanks Robert, you usually got good harmonies and a decent tune from the Bevs
Fantastic
I am Craig Martin. My dad (RIP) was David Martin. Yes, that David Martin.
Thanks for the love. Hard to believe anyone remembers them, PS, My dad didn't get a nickel !
Lovely :) Nice wide sound on the audio
That bit of reverb works great on this, not a big fan of the Bevs I find them too sugary but certain songs like these 2 really work.
Never got past the Sisters song to be honest...
They were to sugary for me Chris, this and especially the flip are ok
Definitely B side material but I prefer it to the Nylons I think...😉
I thought you would like this one better than the a side but they were releasing lots of records at this time and only a few charted, a ploy used with Winnie by Philip's and Decca too.
@@OldiesAl Al, have you got the Bevs' "I Dreamed" - that's a great one.
I used to have Joe, it's my favourite of theirs. Unfortunately it caught the hairline crack disease and as I picked it up one day it gave way. For some reason it's never been replaced. Maybe time to try and smuggle another into the collection. 😉😁😎
@@OldiesAl ...I thought I'd uploaded it a while back but it seems to be another of mine that's "disappeared"...😩
I thought you'd posted it I'm sure I commented a few years back. I just had a quick scan and there are a few but mostly at silly prices. There are a few copies by our new friend Billie Anthony 😁
