I can totally hear the discernable difference between the studio recording compared to the cover bass. Its the tone. The bass player is tight but I can still hear the difference .
I think Rickenbackers have lacquer or a finish on their fretboards or something, idk I learned about it when I found out they used to do coloured fretboards.
Egotistical Internet Guy yea they have sort of a glossy lacquer finish which makes it very smooth to the touch, in contrast to a normal wooden fretboard. It’s different but I like it

Hello:). It's a long story, generally I'm out of luck:D. I've made a new cover in October, but my memory card broke down when I was editing film (I lost everything - I didn't have any backup). In November I've record another song and when I put it on RUclips on private just to see if color balance is ok, they blocked it - because of copyrights. I've prepared another song and I'm ready to record since a few weeks, but I've got a problem with camera. I really want to stay with this Tame Impala video quality, but I don't own this camera and it's not so easy to borrow it. I think I'll just record a video with iPhone.

But Rickenbacker company put a lot of effort into shutting those copy manufacturers down.... Save up and get the real deal. Used can be found cheaper. Buy original and support company which still makes instruments in USA. Don't support copy makers by buying their stuff. And this comes from an European citizen. All good.

Oh HELL yes... All I could hear for 4 hours at the peak of a solid acid trip was The Less I Know The Better and The Moment, and bass and kick drum captivated me for an eternity. Then someone fed me a sour Skittle, and shit got wild. I can't even remember what the music sounded like after that, but I was tasting strawberry with my eyelids and the tips of my fingers for an hour.

Thank you:). My Rickenbacker is a Japanese copy so it's quite different than the original one. During this session I was using GX Line 6 with POD Farm. While playing live I use Eden WT 600 so I tried to reach similiar sound with this software. Greetings from Poland:)
