I can only speak for myself, but I think there are a lot of people watching that are just like me. I think the reason we like seeing you pull the items that have sold is because of your organization. Deep down, we all aspire to keep our homes organized. I am sure there are very few of us,if any, that have thousands of items that we have to store and organize that are not our own. By watching you pull your shipping, we kind of live vicariously through you and tell ourselves well if she can be that organized with all of that and do all that you do we should be able to at least organize our own things and space. Seeing your basement gives us all hope🤣😂haha.
I don't know why some people get bothered with how others pronounce words. I watch another channel where the guy says "joory" instead of jewellery. It doesn't matter, as long as you know what the person is saying. We all have our weird ways of pronouncing some words, and I think your pronunciation of jewellery is very good. The way you speak sounds lovely, and you enunciated words very clearly, so don't worry about your accent. After all, we all have one😊.
Erphila - Kovels Erphila is a mark found on Czechoslovakian and other pottery and porcelain made after 1920. This mark was used on items imported by Ebeling & Reuss of Philadelphia, a giftware firm that was founded in 1866 and out of business sometime after 2002. The mark is a combination of the letters E and R (Ebeling & Reuss) and the first letters of the city, Phila(delphia). Erphila is one of many marks ...This is the description for Erphila pottery from the Kovels book. So the little piggy was probably made in Czechoslovakia and imported to Philadelphia.
Our Pottery Barn outlet closed. When I first saw the closing sign on their door, I wasn't sure if I was going to pass out or be sick. I did get one of their display racks for $25...my last PBO deal 😢
Another great video, Karen. So fun & exciting to watch. Keep pronouncing Jewlery like you've always done. It's your culture & one should never try to change their heritage. I'm from South Mississippi & I will never stop talking like a southerner. I now live on Long Island & everyone here LOVES my accent
Karen, I love your channel! I have been an Ebay seller for almost 25 years and learn a lot from you. I was a full time power seller for 12 years then went to part time. Even took a few years off. You inspire me to have a fully stocked store again. How many listings do you post per day or week on average? Also do you pay for promoted listings, and if so what percent do you pay? I would LOVE to see a video of you showing your step by step process beginning with logging in your new inventory, prepping it, taking photos, listing, and putting the new inventory in its correct bin/shelf. Even if you showed this with 2 or 3 different items: 1 shelved hard good, 1 clothing item, and 1 art piece. Thanks for considering 🙏
Before starting RUclips, I tried for 100 per week because I was selling about 350 listings a month. Now it varies greatly because I work on videos alot 😂
@@lavenderclothesline thank you for replying!! My plan is to list 10 per day so 300 per month. Maybe in a few months I will increase to 15 per day. I heard on another channel to you should list daily and list around the same amount to please the algorithm and show higher in search results… I have also heard it’s best to atleast pay 2% for promoted listings otherwise listings could be intentionally hidden.

Karen, both pronunciations of jewellery and jewelry are correct. They both are spelled differently and pronounced differently (jewellery being the Oxford English and jewelry being the US pronunciation) but both mean the same. So you’re correct in how you say it. I’m from western Canada and have always said it your way. Those Pottery Barn finds were terrific, and are going to sell amazing too! ❤

I like all of your videos. GW, flea markets, the auction was fun. Now that I’m retired and we’re moving I want to begin an online store. I just found and sold my first Shaker item this week! It was a small music box, oval out of cherry wood. I found it at the Goodwill bins for under a dollar and sold it next day for $49. Your lots are wonderful!! Good luck with them.

The seller inserts the finished weight & size of the packaged item at time of listing the item. eBay calculates the shipping cost for each individual buyer and they pay for and purchase the shipping label right when they check out. My post office sends a truck each day to pick up my packages , if you buy your shipping labels at the post office, you will have to pay for them and it will cost a lot more than through ebay
I’m guessing PB doesn’t set their clearance prices below their cost. Just shows how high the markup is on the items. Thanks for taking us along to the outlet.
