- Mitsubishi has introduced a new kei car in Japan called the eK X EV. It's a full electric kei car and the newest member of the eK X range. It will be available for purchase this summer.

On the side of the body, the new car adopts a two-color design with different colors of the body and the roof. The exterior mirror shells are also of the same color as the roof. With the black A, B, and C-pillar design, the visual effect of the suspended roof is formed. In addition, the waistline of the new car is raised and runs through the body, combined with the convex and concave lines of the side doors, and the black wheel eyebrows are expected to be two-color petal-type rims, making the new car more fashionable and dynamic.
At the rear of the car, the new car is equipped with a relatively large roof spoiler, and the taillight group adopts a longitudinal layout, with a unique shape, and is outlined with a black frame to enhance a little dynamic effect. In addition, the lines of the rear part of the new car are more complicated, and the double-layer design of the rear surround makes the rear of the car look full of layers.
In the interior, the new car is equipped with a small-sized full LCD screen and a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The central control multimedia display adopts a floating design, and the function buttons in the central control panel area also use some touch-type buttons. The design and overall matching make the sense of technology inside the new car well displayed.
As a K-Car, the interior space is also fully guaranteed. After the rear seats are folded down, the storage space in the car will be greatly improved. With the higher interior height, the new car has a very good loading capacity. , which can meet the rigid needs of most urban commuting and other uses.
the new electric kei car has a price tag of 1,848,000 yen, or around $14,000 with the current exchange rates.
That money gets you a vehicle that can reach 112 miles on a single charge - perfect for city dwellers. The 20-kWh battery can charge to full capacity in eight hours using regular charging, or about 40 minutes to 80 percent through quick charging.
The Mitsubishi eK X EV isn't a powerful car, though. It makes decent numbers, specifically 63 horsepower (47 kW) and 195 Newton-meters (144 pound-feet) of torque - just enough to get you around the urban jungle for your errands and daily tasks.

I am Italian and I live in Rome. I have a 2004 Suzuki Wagon r+ and I love it. If I wanted to change it for a similar one I couldn't do it. In Italy they don't sell these types of small cars derived from Japanese kei cars. If there was one like this Mitsubishi. I would buy it tomorrow. It makes me angry that the diffusion of this type of car is limited by prejudices regarding their aesthetics. I find them marvels of technology and pragmatism. It makes me angry that I can't buy one because I don't like their shape. I hope that one day a Japanese car manufacturer will have the courage to export a kei car model to Europe and Italy. I looked into importing one into Italy but the problem is not getting it delivered but rather that it cannot circulate because it is not approved to European safety standards. How stupid. There are many videos on RUclips that demonstrate the opposite. These cars are as safe as those on European roads. Suzuki! Nissan! Honda! Courage! Export these cars to Europe! Or make sure they are approved for the European Highway Code. Ah! I forgot! Put the driver's seat on the left.

What convince me to buy Mitsi EK X EV / Nissan Sakura is the instant 195 Nm of torque! Other kei cars esp. turbocharged ICE are underpowered.
