I actually liked the fact that she was angry and resentful at first. I get tired of seeing female characters who are cheerful and upbeat no matter what, take everything in stride, and always react to everything with a smile no matter what it is. That is not real life and I feel like too many female characters are written like happy robots so they'll be more "likeable." Due to her situation and how she was raised, she had every right to be pissed at her parents.
They are both intimidating and transcend that and are so human. Katherine with her well adjusted genius level IQ and Stephen with his OK I'm an actor but I'm one of you! Only thing missing was Emily Bett Rickards! Arrow really hit the top ten when it came to casting!
