FF7 Remake is probably the closest thing I can think of to a Dr. Doom moment. At least one with similar absurdity mixed with fandom hype. Call of Duty is also filled with these too. CoD WW2 coming back with “boots on the ground gameplay” after Infinite Warfare. Bringing back the Black Ops 1 zombies team in BO2 DLC after everyone crapped on the Zombies mode. MW3 bringing back No Russian and a bunch of MW2 maps to grease people into buying it.
I played to the credits, but I really didn't vibe with the whole undoing in the post-game-act 3. My buds grew so much and we faced so much I can't just UNDO it all
