I think Roxy's head is not just her exposed endoskeleton. I believe it is meant to be her fiberglass shell. Animatronics in real life (usually, if well-made) have three layers. You start with an endoskeleton, then put a fiberglass shell overtop to form realistic limb proportions and whatnot, then finally is the cosmetic layer where you usually add fur, cloth, whatever you want the animatronic to actually look like on the outside. I believe this because if it's not her fiberglass shell, shouldn't she look more wirey and metal-bars and y'know, stripped down to the bare bones like Monty's face? There's too much definition for me in her face for it to be her endoskeleton itself. Especially since we know what the endoskeleton's faces actually look like, and when you get a good look at ruined Monty you can actually see the bas endoskeleton to which Monty's features, such as his masive jaws, have been welded. I dunno for sure though, its just my thought as someone really into animatronics in general and not only invested in FNAF ones.
I believe Battington and some other animation people have used this explanation as well. For instance, the reason why William Afton was able to fit into the costume so well when he played on stage in Fazbear's Family Diner, was because of the fiberglass shell.
Honestly I love the amount of detail put into the security breach endoskeletons, you can’t see most of the cool details in regular gameplay but with mods you can
Such as with Monty and Roxy they actually have some kind of mechanical linkage to the regular endoskeleton jaw, that’s just a small detail though out of quite a few
I’m pretty sure some of the people that created the endoskeleton models actually consulted with actual animatronic designers (though I’m just relying on my shoddy memory here) to make the obviously very sci-fi full robot endoskeletons seem a bit more believable

well the fnaf animatronics are not designed realistically, for example they are ai controlled, so i don’t think so
@@lolzers7986 I'm pretty sure you're right about that because, outside of being able to roam freely (we aren't there yet with these kinds of animatronics meant for entertaining and whatnot. Like even Disney isn't there yet. If they were I'm sure they'd get rid of the mascot suits entirely) they are very accurate to current animatronics designs. If you look at some Disney animatronics with their cosmetics and fiberglass shell removed, you can really see it. Its very impressive and one of the things I love about SB. A lot of things are wonky with SB but man can Steel Wool design characters.

While there are elements to them that are currently unrealistic in our current year, Steel Wool has remained very faithful to real animatronics design outside of AI and being able to walk around. You can see as much if you compare the endos to real life endoskeletons. They are definitely striving for some semblance of realism, at least cosmetically. If the endos and Monty can be faithful to how animatronics are typically designed (outside of ai and freeroaming), why not Roxy? Is having a fiberglass shell really such a leap when you consider their faithfulness to endoskeleton designs? Personally, I think not. I would like to give Steel Wool as much credit for their realistic physical design as I can. I can see they are really trying as someone who loves all types of animatronics.
I hope that in the area where spotlight Monty usually is, there are like 40 Monty plushies in a pile to honor Giga Monty. Like imagine walking into the ruined atrium and just seeing an abundance of Monty plushies.

I’m really hoping they lean more into the horror aspect with this dlc, which it seems like that’s what they’re trying to do
IMO one of the biggest missed opportunities in regular SB is having the feeling of being hunted and stalked by the giant animatronics that are trying to kill you, instead of them just patrolling a small preset path where they’re probably not gonna see you anyways and only becoming a threat when you get too close to a security bit and they magically appear behind you. I hope they try to add something like that here, the animatronics in the regular game while not looking scary at all really could still be horrifying to evade while in a chase if their ai and pathfinding were any better, especially with the loud clanks they make against the hard floor as they sprint towards you, shaking your entire screen from the force, and just the fact they tower over you in general.

Maybe they could also make the animatronics check hiding spots a lot more often if they just saw you?
@@halomika4973 Putting invisible barriers on every elevated surface you can reasonably access would be a huge pain, but so would updating the ai and pathfinding i imagine, the checking hiding spots more often idea sounds good though, as in my playthrough of the game i only died from them checking my hiding spot maybe 2 or 3 times
@@lolzers7986doesn't giga Monty show that the pathfinding and such is already in the game just not used, considering hell chase you from across the pizzaria if you get caught by a security bot.

the lore for this time loop is that due to all of the challenges that Spiff has done created a real paradox (the time travel during the giga Monty stuff was a planned expectation. this is the Ruin of the Security breach Loop.

This is the timeline where the game was so broken it broke the Pizzaplex itself
I think what scares me most about the trailer is that it looks promising and after the mess that was SB I have never been more hesitant in my life
Honestly, Spiff's aproach to FNAF is one that I really appreciate. It's completely different from most FNAF youtubers who have loved the games for years, and it feels really genuine- without all the nostalgia. (Not that nostalgia is bad)
Really, really, _really_ hoping we have that horror atmosphere we deserved with the original idea of SB. The part with Cassie trying to fend off Monty looked super cool and unnerving with how it engulfs her head.
New animatronics look significantly less fuck-able. Good job Steel Wool.
Hoping the game will be a bit more focused than the over-ambitious Security Breach. Might even be scary this time.

It looks like, LOOKS like, they're finally going to give us what Security Breach should have been.
Honestly, I think the main thing that would've made Security Breach better is just to improve the AI and take out Freddy... from the looks of it, that's exactly what this DLC is doing and I can't wait! (tbf, I would've gotten it anyways even if I thought it looked bad, I already have SB and they said the DLC will be free anyways)

@@bradyblue5269 their called shattered I think. It makes sense though. The withered are withered (as in you can still tell its them even though they've "shriveled" up). The phantoms and nightmares are figment of the game's respective protag. And the shattereds are complexly broken apart, nearly unrecognizable from their previous form.
All I can think about while watching this trailer is the original trailer where we heard "Afton" (Or Mimic if you think that was pre-planned) and those voice lines never appeared. The animations for Vanny and Moondrop never made it in to the game, and I think a lot of the UI like the watch and cameras changed between the trailer and the release. So when I saw this trailer, all I can think is, "About half of this MIGHT be in the final release."
Edit: Forgot to mention they also clearly had a scene with Gregory in the glass lobby elevator and Vanesa on the other side but that scene NEVER appeared in game. In fact you can't even use that elevator.
Nah, I can't see that happening AGAIN. Besides, that trailer was still a few months out. This is a trailer that releases for something releasing in 2 months.
That trailer came out like a year (or two, i forget) before release while this one is only 2 months from release, I doubt THAT much is gonna change
It's always possible but a big reason for all that being dropped was overestimating what they could do. They've hopefully scaled back this time.

We're all really thinking that this end bunny thing is the Mimic from the books. Would make sense as it would mimic Gregory's voice to lure kids inside and send messages to them and stuff. Idk makes sense to me.
At the least im glad they're leaning into the horror more. Whether the game actually functions, we're gonna have to wait and see. Despite SB being a failure, I still think Steel Wool is the right company for FNaF moving forward. It's clear they're very passionate (to the point that was like, a large chunk of their problem, but still.) It seems like they've learned their lesson though. Ruin might still be a bit messy since it's built on SB, but it looks fun. It looks like they have more dynamic gameplay, too
What have they learned? The game is still a broken joke of a game. And now going for a ruined concept? Like it makes no sense how any of this is going to work out. Is the pizza plex or whatever the place is called shut down? And this robots are just allowed to be left in there in this ruined place?? SB and Steel Wool is not the right people. The hole concept of everything is just dum. And that is true with SB not just this ruined crap.

Chica does look similar, but something to make note of: The animatronics animations have been changed.
Steel Wool heard us complaining about the dumb goofy animations of the shattered animatronics.
The devs know the daycare was the best part of the game, the ruined(that’s what I think these versions of the animatronics will be called) daycare attendant is literally the only thing on the trailers thumbnail, they know aside from Freddy sun/moon is the most popular character
This looks awesome! Steel Wool did a Great job making this look like an actual abandoned building and I'm hyped to spend another 500+ hours exploring every inch of this game! (if the Gameplay doesn't suck)

That "new area" is very clearly the atrium just without the lights on. Its looking directly at the elevators
I like to think the "don't give up on me yet" isn't Greg talking in character, it's the game itself being like "please, please, I know the main game had so many flaws, but please just play this dlc"
Another comment mentioned that Roxy looks like a bat now, likely to go with her blindness, and I just wanted to agree. It really does look like a vampire bat, and I think it's so cool how they did it. Little details like her huge eye sockets or her wide, flat, fanged mouth, or the little striped bit where her nose would be, they all come together really well. Idk how they did it, but they sure the hell did turn a wolf into a bat. Say all you want about their inability to write the more relevant code, their character designs go incredibly hard and that is inarguable

the dlc actually makes main sb look much more interesting, as a way to see how things were before collapse
I like the fact you see them reusing assets as an upside as they can work just that little bit more into the game.

For all the people reacting to this trailer, I have yet to see anyone comment on the actual inclusion of stealth mechanics shown at 1:20 and the camera usage at 1:37. I know they're typical/basic mechanics that should've been in the original game, but it seems as though Steel Wool is addressing the fans' criticisms. Not holding my breath, but I think it's a good sign from a development standpoint.
Maybe theyll add more invisible wall bandaids!!! Thats all the game needs.
security breach is one of my favourite games solely for the visuals and the fun artificial intelligence stuff. i love sentient robots and i LOVE how cool they looked in the base game! hopefully the dlc will give us the gameplay that fnaf:sb deserved in the first place :] either way though, really looking forward to seeing the new designs in action, they're super fuckin cool and decrepit

The bit with Monty makes me wonder if they have the animatronics actually attack you instead of just looking a bit goofy
I remember reading a comment on the trailer about how they may have purposely made SB base game way bright and colorful to contrast it with ruin, which as we can see will be much darker of a game visually. It kinda reminds me of the nighttime segment in the daycare, or in the good old days of when we could easily escape Fazer Blast after losing and activating nightmare mode in the atrium that way.

Overall the trailer looks great but my favorite part has to be the implications of Roxy being friendly (maybe)

honestly i quite like the roxy design. its taking a step back and making the all-too-personal designs of them *non* broken and gave her an impartial, unreadable look. you cannot tell what she wants anymore and imo that makes it scarier
Actually, on closer inspection, Roxy is actually wearing something as a mask. Which fits her character well, as vain as she is.

Obviously we rip on this game, it's kinda hard not to, and I appreciate that despite the bugs that will probably be in it, Spiff stays faithful that it will be fun. Either with, or in spite of its flaws...

This looks very promising. Even more promising than the original security breach trailers. So I expect the actual game to be better, too. I love the athmosphere of it being completelyt abandoned. And also probably no freddy? That's gonna add some challenge, make the game scaries and maybe reduce the number of bugs lol.

Throwing this out there just in case you aren't aware of it because at the end it seems like you were pausing and pausing to try and Advance slowly, but you can use the, and. Keys in a RUclips player to advance or Rewind by one frame at a time.
