Thanks bro. I had always doubt in BM's direction when couple is acting on ends of a beam. Now this doubt is not exist for me.xD
Sir aapko sheldon cottrell waala salute.
Sir we have severe issues in drawing bmd of indeterminate beams. Kindly make a series of videos on bmd of indeterminate beam
Thanks a lot dear Sir
Wonderful explanations. Great sir
+maha devan thank you so much
Can u plese explain how did u calculate linear interpolation
Very goood
Ek no sir...👌
Hello Sir. Thank you for the explanation. Please while analysis the mid span(BC) for bending moment, where did you the 100kN you used as support forces. Thank you
considering simply supported beam, for udl 50kn/m over 4m, reaction over each support willl be (50*4)/2=100kn
thank you sir
Hello sir your video are so helpful for us I request you to upload video on steel structure sub..
Hello
I couldn't understand the moment that you initially consider and also why you have taken fixed support after splitting the beam?
very nice
Tq sir for this video... Sir pls make video on sfd and bmd of frame
your method of analyses is good But i shall request you to check your moment distribution because i think your second fixed end moment is not computed correctly.pleased check I might be wrong.
Nice work tanvesh
Thank you Hasnain :-)
sir very nice, sir i want to ask that which software you are using
how about the kind of question have ABCD and E or even F how to write in the distribution table becouse most tutorial i show on youtube only from A to D. and other Question some frame have leges like pt F and G at the bottom how can i distribute it in distribution table
sir please make a video on calculating bending moment for bmd
Please check the description, video is already made
GOOD JOB SIR.CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO FOR STIFFESS METHOD FOR TRUSSES?
Thank you very much
that bird killed the lesson.. :D
caner akbas you learn to focus on what you have come to see. Those birds are my angels and don't want to hear about them anything.
@@DCBAonline excellent sir 👌
And can u pls explain or make a video on how to find the negative bm below the line using linear interpolation method
Super boss
How we get bending moment at separate beam two side sir...????
I didnt get your question
I really appreciate this video sir. PLEASE, how was the 29.648 gotten when getting the actual moment. please i really need your reply soon. thanks so much
This problem is solved earlier by moment distribution method, kindly refer to that video first.
Sir how did all the moments had negative values in bmd (both clockwise and anticlockwise)
Anticlockwise from left hand side is considered negative and clockwise from right side is considered negative
@@DCBAonline ok sir... Thank you🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sir can you provide slides or pdf files for these methods.
How to draw SFD from BMD of a continuous beam simply supported
Then when we use slope deflection method
Sir, how to find the length of triangle at SFD?
vvvvvv nice
Bhai yeh kounsa application use karte ho teaching ke liye
Powerpoint
Why there is no Horizontal Reaction forces at the supports?
Since it's a fixed beam.
Because all the forces are acting vertically and axial deformation is neglected
@@DCBAonline
Thanks for the quick response.
I was interested to know how the horizontal forces are being calculated.
Please help me to refer some good examples.
Finding horizontal component is a tideous task and would have to take into consideration the axial stiffness check for axial deformation and then find horizontal forces. I would suggest look for stiffness matrix methods for this.
@@DCBAonline
Really Appreciated..!
Thank you Sir.
Please make some more videos about Indeterminate structures taking realistic problems..
at 1:30 can you tell me how you are forming equation
Take moment about B, you will get that equation.
Note:
For that you should know what is a moment and how to calculate the moment about any point or axis.
sir which software u are using
Microsoft PowerPoint
What software is used ??? Can anyone tell...please
PowerPoint
Hello. What is the formula used to get 99.9159? The moment of span BC there
Cut a section at a distance of 2.058m from B (...i.e 2.058m from the left). Take moment about that point and you will find that M= 99.916KNM. I hope that helps.
last calculation u did in bmd i didn't understand
오우 카레향기!
plss provide a video of design of gantry girder
Sir I request you to please tell how did you done the shape fill after making animation each line one by one. Because I have tried in PowerPoint if i draw a line of the shear force and bending moment using line and curve command I am unable to make shape fill. Also I am unable to use moment symbol
what will be the bmd if one end hogs and another end sags?
Hlo sir, have there any video related to curved beam & bending moment and shear force in curved video ???
Sir please tell me how to calculate resisting moment in fixed beam... Like in this question 18.0165 and 52.91
Resisting moment is nothing but the moment produced by strength of the beam against the moment produced by loading
@@DCBAonline kk.. but how you calculate the value... 18.0165 and 52.91
@@32590129 i was wondering too. Like how
sir can you please tell me the sign convention that you have used for bending moment in this problem?while breaking the beam into free body diagram at a time of 0.53 to 1min..
hope for your reply.thanks
+Akshat Mahajan the bending moment sign convention is of sagging and hogging, sagging being positive and hogging being negative, if you want to learn more about the sign conventions i have made a separate video about explaining all the sign conventions used in bending moment, you can watch that on my channel you will get a clear idea about it.
What is program to draw beam?
How you get BM 23.686
Plizz do it sfd bmd for a portal frame by using Moment distribution method
donde puedo encontrar esas formulas para en encontrar los puntos máximos en el diagrama de momento flector
where we found the moment in every section???(18.0165,,,52.91,,41.402,,11.975)
The link of that video is given in description.
may i please know how you found the moments at different fixed point? and what is the difference between this method and the one analyzing the deflection... i mean, can one uses either method at any time or there are restrictions?
lisa livia ive found moments using moment distribution method you can find the link of that video here
ruclips.net/video/WYW-upIyWLs/видео.html
Its also in description.
lisa livia i didn't get the second part of your question could you pls clarify it in more details.
thank you for your answer, really appreciate
for my second question: im just wondering is there any difference between the method you used here and the slope deflection method? can i use this method or the slope deflection method at anytime?
Yes you can apply slope deflection to any problem for analyzing the beam or frame, and then drawing SFD & BMD.
For the matter of fact you can analyze by any method that you know best, few methods to name would be
Moment Distribution Method.
Slope deflection Method.
Stiffness matrix method.
Flexibility Matrix method.
Clayperons 3 Moment Theorem etc etc whichever you know the best.
All the best.
thank you soooooooo much, this is really helpfull
Nice video.
I have a doubt, while solving the BM for UDL span(17:20mins) you said wherever SF is zero BM is max, but in the diagram (FBD of the member given in the left part) the BM is max at mid-span i.e 100kNm. At distance 2.058m the BM is 99.95kNm. So the max BM is 100kNm but we are taking 99.95kNm as max BM value.
Please clarify the doubt.
Thank you.
Nothing much difference
You will get 100 at a distance of 2,but the actual moment at that point would be (100-47.156)=52.844, 47.156 is the ordinate of the trapezpoid at distance of 2m, so you see that does not give us the maximum value because maximum value of BM is 52.927 kNm
why are we drawing the bm for the simply supported from the fixed end bm?
Anish Ghosh , it is a shortcut method to draw the BMD for a continuous beam, the method is that first you plot all the fixed end moments than you plot all the bending moment values if each span were simply supported and then join it.
However you can also draw bending moment in traditional way that is isolating each span separately and then drawing bending moment for each span by finding reactions of each span using normal equilibrium conditions.
Sir may i know what is the app used for drawing the beams and loads on it sir
its powerpoint.
@@DCBAonline no i meant to ask about the the figures where did u draw
Did you draw it in PowerPoint itself
Yes, everything in powerpoint
Can you please make a video on it how to draw in powerpoint easily then it will definitely be helpful for teachers
how the bmd is 23.686
how do i find reactions on a beam supported by more than 2 supports and not given the moments
You need to first analyze the beam in order to get the moments, pls check the description for analysis method, this video is continuation of that analysis method.
okay let me try and follow it. thank you
nicholas chasusa you can use 3 moment equation in solving miments
You may use Moment Distribution Method.
Please you tell me trapezoidal formula for finding BMD on moment distribution method
there is no certain formula for it its basic linear interpolation however if you do want a formula i can give you but it will only work on the conditions i state ,
if 'a' & 'b' are two parallel sides of trapezoid where a>b, & L is length of the trapezoid
'x' is the distance at which we need the interpolation value and 'x' is measured from 'a',
then the interpolation value 'y' is given as y = a - (x/L)*(a - b)
I didn't understand y u have taken reactions at B&C as 100 each while calculating bending moment at span BC instead u should have used formula (w*l2)/8 which u have used in your slope deflection video
chintalapudi priyanka that was done to impose simply supported bending moment of span BC on the fixed end moments and the find the actual value later on as shown in video
So can I use the formula (w*l2)/8 ?
chintalapudi priyanka no the reason i did not use the direct formula is because you need to find the simply supported bending moment at the distance where shear force is 0,you can find it from SFD and in our case it comes out to i guess 2.058 or something, and this is where you need to find the simply supported BM, wl2/8 gives value at exact centre of the beam.
@@DCBAonline so why u have used direct formula (wab)/l formula for other spans(AB and CD)..
you don't have rotation and deflection curves, show me.
The Structural Analysis Matrix Formulation App dude look pls don't bother me now im saying this once and for all, if you want rotation and deflections analyse this by slope deflection method and you'll get them, now coming to the correctness of this problem, it is absolutely perfect and you can check it from any software.
May i nknow how you find the distance 2.058
you can find it by property of similar triangles
102.877/x = 97.123/(4-x)
you can solve the above equation to get value of x=2.058m
Use similar triangles for BC to solve for the unknown distance x. We get (x/102.877)=((4-x)/97.123)==>x=2.0575 m from B
hlo sir wt happens if the moments are taken in opposite directions
shivanand jadav , pls clarify your question in more detials, however as per what i understand from the question the technique remains the same that is to fix the end where moment is desired and check the deflection profils whether it is sagging or hogging and that way you need to draw the bending moment diagram.
tq sir
got it clarity sagging nd hogg
why don't you fix the moment diagram is wrong?,you know.
The Structural Analysis Matrix Formulation App what are you trying to say? Be clear.
ok,the shear force and moment value are completly wrong since you are NOT in a equilibrium condition statics, you are OFF.
🤣🤣🤣 They are absolutely correct.
what are the rotation at B and C ?
The Structural Analysis Matrix Formulation App watch my related video you'll get what you want

@@TanveshDabholkar yea bro but i was seeing how to draw shearforce diagram in slope and deflection n how the moments come thier ..i canot draw distribution table in slope and deflection for these moments .. explain

i love your youtube i learn alot from i wis i could know your email adress bcos some fellow frens they ask me just give them the lick of your video
Thank you.

learn something ,
those moment values are streched values, they are not compressed ones.to tell you this much;you need transforming functions for shear and moment functions if you want to keep the system in equilibrium, and you are
going nowhere by using your shear and moment funtions as shown on your video.I looked into software already, they defaulted as you did ,but not on the final elastic curves .To be fair on you, your work is not COMPLETE.
The Structural Analysis Matrix Formulation App then you complete it. And post it ill, learn from that.
you mean that you don't know how to contruct the rotation and deflection diagram, right?what is the maximum deflection when x=5.036005
The Structural Analysis Matrix Formulation App oh god pls stop pestering me get some life dude, check my other videos and find it by yourself i dont have time for for solving your queries or giving you replies every now and then.
DCBA online I am sorry man,you are pretty good, you make me laugh,Dude.I am serius now;you said you have my deflection equations profile for this problem ,or what?Do you get my E-mail I sent to you?I would like to help you ,I have spent hours figures this out as you did on your presentation ,I ' appreaciatte it ,Indeed.
therefore to gurantee the contuinity of rotation and deflection diagram; you MUST concider 1.5 I and 2I,and that is why,got it?
The Structural Analysis Matrix Formulation App if you dont know then i have already analysed this beam in my earlier video with all the continuities in due consideration. And if you know the correct values of SFD and BMD pls enlighten everyone here.
I 'll give you $500 to a $1000 ,or else;if you get to construct the deflection equations, thx
