    I got a 21 K6 EFI great bike. Only issue I have had is until I got it broke in. It didnt want to go into neutral when the engine was running. But now its got some time its popping in much better. Like I was hoping. Glad I bought it.

      the same thing. It didnt want to go into neutral when the engine is running. what about the oil changing?

    • @MotoCityTV
      @MotoCityTV  2 года назад +2

      Yes Robert, I did find that the gear boxes were notchy at first but after some hours they become smooth as butter. An oil change will help too as that fresh oil allows it to be more lubed.

      How's your k6 holding up purchasing one next week was just wondering

    I've got a 2016 K6 with the SOHC engine. I installed the 300cc big-bore kit. It'll hit 85 mph on the street and will run 70-75mph all day, well as long as your butt can endure the hard seat. I finally ordered a Seat Concepts seat to cure that issue. I'm not sure if the new K6 is the same as mine, but I installed an Acerbis 4.1 gallon tank which was made for a KTM. If the new plastics are the same design as mine you can install KTM tanks, seats, and body parts on the K6. I think you can swap the Fast Ace forks with WP forks too, but I'm not 100% sure.
    GPX offers their bikes with the Zongshen NC300. I wonder why Kayo doesn't offer the 300cc engine? I guess 250cc is an MX class that doesn't allow 300's to compete.

    • @MotoCityTV
      @MotoCityTV  2 года назад +1

      This feels like "insider information" Glenn... Thank you for sharing! These stats on rideabilty with the 300 big bore kit are very encouraging! From what we have seen thus far, this bike is a serious contender and would make us question purchasing a 10 year old "used bike" for roughly the same amoun of $$$ over this brand new seemingly quality bike. The fact that it has all of the crossover KTM aftermarket parts really puts it heads above the other bikes in its class. Huge win...

      The EFI ecu either learns and gets richer, or the injectors are clogged and need clearing but the first few hours it wont hit high rpm and is lean. After that it rips pretty good. The GPX 300's sohc and dohc use Delphi EFI and they both were not fueled right. Im glad Kayo stuck with the Rojo, its mapped perfectly and has adjustable idle.

    First off... thanks for the content Kyle. Just to note, my Kayo K6 250 EFI's throttle grip is exactly like yours. I may try to remove the grip and reinstall. Also, another side note... I was told by the place I purchased it, that after 20 hours, the ecm resets to a more aggressive fuel mapping. It was an epa thing.

    • @MotoCityTV

      Thanks for the info! Well, out of the crate it is a pretty fun ride... if it gets even better, that's SWEET! There are several "little things" like the grips, the side stand bolt (on the KT) ... but these little things only bring it down a notch. Still really well put together machines. OH - double check the screws hold on your red tail light lens. Mine vibrated out and I lost the lens!

      I'd like to ride them back to back / side by side to compare before making my assessment. The K6-R is the bike that is supposed to be more comparable to the modern 250 MX bikes.

      @@georgebanker2669 The bike honestly looked very slow, I was a bit surprised actually. This is obvious to anybody that has experience on mx bikes. You can tell based on how the engine sounds as he's flipping through the gears, and how long it takes for the engine to rev out between gears.
      I seen some comments saying that the ecu changes to a more aggressive map after running the engine for the first few hours though. So it is likely much faster than what was seen in this video, I would hope so anyway.

    It doesn't feel right... i don't think that it has enough power that you can ride in a track and jump with, it's more like trail bikes but with 5grand you can find a japanese powerfull bulletproof enduro or cross 2005~2009 good condition.
    Personally i can't trust chinese fuel injection in the midle of mountains!!
    I bought the last model carburetor KTM excf and my freind bought an injection one the 6days version.... a month later i saw him with a badass carburetor one like mine! so he said that the six days just died in the mountain and he couldn't start it because something about the injector was out and needed to be check with a diag unit.... so he pushed the bike more than 12 hours before seeing someone who can help😂😂 so he hate every injection system,so he do well with me the old-school version is safer in adventures😂

  • @nathan00campbell

    They literally priced their selves out of relevance. You would have to be completely daft, to pay $6,000 for a $2,000 bike. It's just a china bike no different than a hawk or any other garbage China bike. And yes a lot of them are EFI. It's a $2,000 bike. Once you hit the 6,000 mark the used market has far better options in that price range. I can get a pretty sweet fuel injected Yamaha WR 450F in that price range
