@@thatonetrainguyfrom2576 I remember it as a child driving with my parents. But had forgotten about it until I saw it in the video. Thanks for the info!
I was on this run. My parents picked us up from the bus in Deer Lake at the train station and we stopped in Corner Brook. First and last train ride to date. I was 7 years old.
Is Newfoundland planing on rebuilding the railroad tracks around the whole island for the next 100 year plus remodeling the train stations and restoring all the diesel locomotives too as well
Aldrick GMC All the railway tracks have been gone for at least 20+ years...prob more like 40 yrs. Everything is shipped by semi truck now. Some of the train stations do remain but have been turned into Museums.
September 20th 1988 1 year before I was born
There is a group working on rebuilding the Newfoundland railroad and restoring it to its rightfull glory...even considering a bridge to Labrador ....
Where was that overpass @ 3:40? I am guessing it no longer exists?
That is just before marble mountain ,the overpass has been taken down

Aldrick GMC why would they do that? That would cost millions
They should have never tore the tracks! Theuy could have used this line in Newfoundland's bolstering tourism economy
