I have seen hurricanes sit right off a shore, then completely change direction and go in hundreds of miles from the original projected landfall area. Mother Nature is and always has been very unpredictable. Sally hit us here in Alabama in 2020. It was to be minimal. Our county didn’t even open shelters. It strengthened rapidly just off shore near midnight when most were sleeping and came in as a hurricane of tremendous force! No lives were lost, but property damage was massive. My little dog and I spent the night, scared to death, in the downstairs shower… If you look at past hurricane paths, the zig zagging of hurricanes will tell you all you need to know… No one really knows where it’s going in until it is right on you and they don’t know what the strength will be…

Yep. Other states are nailing their weather reports better than WSVN. I’m disappointed in them and Phil Ferro is our head chief meteorologist he’s MIA. The South Floridians are asking him questions and he’s rarely responding. The reports are just fearmongering but we’re not in the cone of uncertainty any more. We just still be prepped though and keep a close watch around Tuesday. They said on our station we will get some rain or scattered storms.
