Zane's downfall was perplexing to say the least, he loses ONE TIME in pro-leagues because Astar decided to be a little shit and use Spark blaster to make his dragon dance for draws. after that NO ONE wanted to work with Zane after and suddenly he decides "screw it i'm gonna get into some BDSM Death match stuff and change my name to HELL KAISER cuz I'm on THE EDGE! " then proceeds to be an absolute asshole to everyone, even his brother cause he wants to flex his Dark Cyber Dragons and what's weird is that his turn was genuinely 100% his own choice, he was under any influence he just simply decided to be an asshole and continued to be an asshole until after S3 when suddenly all that electro shock bdsm made him go "OW THE EDGE" and he suddenly decided to mellow out and everyone just said "that's cool dude, you were an absolute ass to us but we'll forgive that cause Syrus needs some last minute development which requires him to steal your deck" i know this has nothing to do with Cyber Dragons, but dang it someone's gotta talk about their former users weird as character arc lol
Rushed and not explained properly. On paper the idea of a former great duelist struggling in a new profession in the “Real world” is a pretty neat arc to have, and a dark turn for them is a risky venture But as you said, one loss, one underground duel of pain after seemingly losing so much on purpose to get underground, and then its edgy hedgey And to top it all off, a new deck that sucks worse than his previous one (Just like freaking Jaden even) I really wanted this change to work. It would have been very unique and a nice contrast to have for a once previous adversary. But we’ll always have the power wall animation :p
@@TheKpa11 true. but also i will give them credit, as much as Zane becoming a jerk sucked, it was a ballsy move and one that I respect that it wasn't because of some dark influence or mind control, because when Fubuki dueled him using the power of Nightshroud thinking he could free Zane and Zane flat out told him this was who he was and that he isn't being controlled, my jaw dropped, they wanted him to turn and they did it without making him become possessed or give an easy out, if Zane was going to change he had to do it on his own, but as things would be from then on out, the Zane we knew from S1 was gone
@@Emily12471 Just rework the effects of the cyber dark monsters Give the monsters more attack and have them get effect and spell and trap protecting as well as their grave robbing effects. And for a boss, I’d say the Chimeratech monsters make the most sense for that dark deck he got, not just that dark cyber dragon
@@ShanaReviews Well the “dark influence” is one a little too close to reality. Not dark (Or Light in GX’s context) magical influence Really all that was missing was substance abuse to really cross that line. The potential to show what a pro league is like in Yugioh would have been nice to explore. To show how like in the real world, it’s a struggle to work in and it’s not pretty and when you lose or aren’t popular or a scandal occurs. You potentially lose everything, and in this world where dueling is practically everything, it could very well be the end for you in a pro league celebrity sense

Don’t worry rata at 24:39 I used to always think that it eyes was those shiny brown metal thing right behind the actual eyes and when I found that out i had the most mind fuck ever… like why did they designed it like that.
2:54 never expected a Hitchhiker’s joke to be heard from Rata.
Holy shit he's back
This man just casually goes to abandoned shady ass locations in the middle of the night for the sake of our entertainment. Give this man a medal
When we least expect it, Our HERO Rata has return.
then proceeds to be an absolute asshole to everyone, even his brother cause he wants to flex his Dark Cyber Dragons
and what's weird is that his turn was genuinely 100% his own choice, he was under any influence he just simply decided to be an asshole and continued to be an asshole until after S3 when suddenly all that electro shock bdsm made him go "OW THE EDGE" and he suddenly decided to mellow out and everyone just said "that's cool dude, you were an absolute ass to us but we'll forgive that cause Syrus needs some last minute development which requires him to steal your deck"
i know this has nothing to do with Cyber Dragons, but dang it someone's gotta talk about their former users weird as character arc lol
Rushed and not explained properly. On paper the idea of a former great duelist struggling in a new profession in the “Real world” is a pretty neat arc to have, and a dark turn for them is a risky venture
But as you said, one loss, one underground duel of pain after seemingly losing so much on purpose to get underground, and then its edgy hedgey
And to top it all off, a new deck that sucks worse than his previous one (Just like freaking Jaden even)
I really wanted this change to work.
@@TheKpa11 i've said it before and i'll say it again
It always should have been machines

Just rework the effects of the cyber dark monsters
Give the monsters more attack and have them get effect and spell and trap protecting as well as their grave robbing effects.
And for a boss, I’d say the Chimeratech monsters make the most sense for that dark deck he got, not just that dark cyber dragon
@@ShanaReviews
Well the “dark influence” is one a little too close to reality. Not dark (Or Light in GX’s context) magical influence
Really all that was missing was substance abuse to really cross that line.
"You can't just name a card Cyber Eternity Dragon and make it bad"
I admire the dedication to covering cards that are only tangentially related to the archtype. Nice touch, Rata. That's the kind of thing that keeps me coming back.
Love to see a new rata video
Ngl I was lowkey hoping the Lime skit at the end was gonna be a marvel endcredits scene where you'd say "TF Are you all still here for? He's fucking dead"
Nice timing on the upload Rata! Now you can enjoy your entire Labor Day weekend! A holiday you are sure not to miss!
15:14 oh you always know some capital WILD SHIZE is about to go down when Rata whips out the old google search 🤣🤣
I'm amazed it was never mentioned that Shapesnatch can be used to summon Cyber Dragon Nova (and by extension, Infinity). The mascot of this channel is actually Cyber Dragon support.
Like some kind of Yu-Gi-Oh Messiah, he came back when we needed him most.
39:12 Hey, it has use.
It makes the new LIGHT Machine fusion
3:40 Top 10 Cyber Dragon joke I peed my pants
