Another EXCELLENT cover.. I disagree with the comment about your pronounciation, I think you NAILED it! I actually love the way you sing it in your own style, rather than trying to emulate Anthony.. In the same fashion, I appreciate the way you throw in your own flurries on the guitar, instead of doing a carbon-copy of John's playing.. You use the same style as him, but don't copy him note for note.. This is refreshing.. All in all, an AWESOME version.. The HEIGHT of respect from fellow musician, Davey in Éire (Ireland) :)

+Sam Wyatt You can often find the list of what equipment/pedals bands use if you like the sound. RHCP play fairly clean, but everyone uses a bit of chorus, reverb and overdrive here and there.

I bet I've listened to this song more than a few thousand times since I was a kid and I STILL get the chills everytime I listen or play it myself. The feelings and meaning behind the lyrics are what give me the chills every single time I hear Anthony sing it. Awesome cover, but lacks a connection to the lyrics.

How do you get that really smooth frusciante style chord tone from your strat?
+Sam Wyatt neck pick up and set up the amp right. a little reverb and probably turn up treble a bit but really depends on your gear.
