Arlo Ultra vs Arlo Pro 2 | Part 2 of Ultra Review - Features and Video Quality

- Today, we will be testing again the newly released Arlo Ultra a 4K wireless security camera. I did my first review a couple of weeks back which I really couldn't test all of its features because of connection issues with the camera. I gave Arlo a couple of weeks to sort it out and see if this Arlo Ultra will be at least reliable enough that we will be able to test out all of its features. I will link my original review in the down below.

Also, a lot of you guys have asked me to compare the video quality of the Arlo Pro 2 with the Ultra and see if there is a major difference. Well, I'll be doing that but also I will be comparing the 4K quality of the Ultra to a 5MP security camera which is around in between a 1080p and 4k.

I really don't see why you have so little subscribers. You are an in depth reviewer. Very awesome 😎 job you're doing!!!
Thank You. I appreciate it.
I agree
Moses Balderas I agree
Emmanuel Ayala i agree.
Hey, Lifehackster:
Good for you for calling-out Arlo.
Arlo already makes a substantial profit margin on their very pricy equipment. There's no need for Arlo to SHAKEDOWN their customer base.
I can't wait until WYZE introduces a weatherproof camera. I bet it will be less than $100.
Thomas Ott looks like he had to try hard as hell from busting laughing out loud over arlo nickel and dining during his rant, lol
I have to tell it how it is... these cameras doesn't work as advertised. I think they will be major products coming out from Wyze in the next few years. They recently released a video that they were able to secure some capital investment to broaden their brand.
How do you know what their profit margin is? Maybe it's too low and they couldn't afford to hire smart enough engineers. Let's see you start your own security cam co. and charge 1/2 of there price. Let's see how that works out.
LifeHackster I really would like a reply to my question here. I have seen you flip back-and-forth on Arlo being good and one of the best ones on the market, and then I have seen your comments like this that say Arlo is a piece of crap and you’re waiting for other companies to flush Arlo out for what they are? So that to me sounds like you are not as third-party as you want people to believe you are, that is in significantly doing reviews for the people not the kickback of the company?
Please don’t read into this or take it the wrong way. But I have watched several of your videos and trying to make a well rounded decision based on what you want to call your expertise on this area. And at the end of everything I am still finding myself looking for other peoples reviews and not so much bloat talk. So again please if I am wrong definitely tell me but I really would like some more in-depth thought from you on a company that I have watched you for a few years promote in videos and slam in comments.
I love your videos man. It’s quite obviously you’ve invested a lot of time&resources into them. Keep up the great work.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
This was very well done. You are saving a lot of people time and money doing such in-depth research. Big thumbs up!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Thank you so much for calling Arlo out on it’s extremely overpriced services and sneaky business practices. I almost had myself talked into buying a three camera Arlo pro 2 kit but postponed my purchase based on your insights. By the way your video production quality continues to only get better and better which makes them a pleasure to view. Thanks so much for going the extra mile for those of us who enjoy watching.
Thank You. I appreciate the compliments.
Hey, thanks for your review, it was so comprehensive. I have two of the original Arlo cameras and was planning to upgrade with another 3. Looks like you have saved me the hassle of looking at the Ultra cameras.
Supposedly they have fixed most of the issues. I haven’t re-tested this.
i was actually seriously considering buying some arlo cameras until I saw your review. any company that tries so hard to squeeze every last dime out of their customers doesn't deserve my money. which is why I have a strict no apple policy. now I can add arlo/netgear to the list
To me, Arlo is worse than Apple. At least Apple products works at least during their launch.
@Zescaflowne, I have owned Arlo 2 for almost a year, great camera, great image quality, great battery life about a month or so, even the mic on the speaker is nice I have worked my Alexa through the mic on the camera
Me too bro, I was watching some other channel and they totally had unrealistic feedback. The Arlo has amazingly crappy sound quality and I never would have known that if I had not found the hacker
Man, great review. I'm now a new subscriber. Anyone that does this amount of work for a review, deserves a lot of peeps subscribed IMO. g-
Thank You. I appreciate that.
Thanks for another great review. Your reviews are always straight to the point and non bias! Keep up the good work!
Thank You.
thumbs down for arlo, but thumbs up for saving me time and money 👍
:)
@Phat Nutz, I own the Arlo 2, great cameras, never any problems, great battery life, about 4/5 weeks with normal use, I bought a second battery for easy swap out, battery charges in about 30 to 40 min. and sound great as well it picks up the sound of birds, even snow on camera
The new arlo ultra cameras will they fit the same wall brackets that come with the arlo pro 2, i currently have 3 arlo pro 2 cameras and wanted to upgrade, will i be able to unscrew the arlo pro 2 and simply screw the arlo ultras on?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time
@@ANFIELDSCOUSE31 Yes, the screw mounts are the same as the Arlo Pro/Pro2
Thank You!! Very in depth and enough information presented for us customers to make an informed decision and not one misled by marketing.
Hey thanks for the request... I have the original arlo pro camera system and was thinking of updating... but after seeing your in-depth review of this new system, I’m still better off keeping my old reliable setup... thanks once again...
You are welcome.
I appreciate you taking the time do such an objective real life test. I'm still in search for a good outdoor system for my airbnb places. I have the original Arlo which is horrible. it doest even have time embedded when I sent footage to police. miss motion triggers when car disappears.. I tried Lorex, superb quality but not user friendly remote access. I was hoping this system will finally address issues but seams rather a step back.
I'm hoping that they are addressing the issues of this camera. You might want to check out Ring Security Light Cameras.
Thank you Sir! I'm still considering the Ultra system, BUT my eyes are observing in a much more acute manner. Your review(s) have been executed in a very professional manner, and are quite revealing as to quality and company strategy.
Telling the truth, we as buyers really need to know. Thanks! SUBSCRIBED!!
Thank You. Now, I just realized that they moved the re-release again to the 24th....
I purchased the Pro 2 six-pack last October and was bummed when the Ultra was announced. I'm relieved that I'm not missing out on much (except headaches), but I do like how the Ultra recording isn't quite as blown out with bright lighting since my house is surrounded by LED motion lights. For my next house I'm definitely stepping up to a PoE 4K system. Thanks for the great comparison and review!
You are welcome.
Another great review. Saved me time and money. Here in the UK the Arlo systems are even more expensive. Many thanks!
You are welcome.
Really love your Arlo reviews. Great channel!
Thank You. I appreciate it.
I am very glad I saw this. In-depth reviews are awesome.
Hey man, thanks for an excellent review. I subscribed straight away. I was almost about to purchase the 4 cam Arlo HD system until I saw your review. I'll wait and see now, keeping updated via your channel. Cheers from Sydney, Australia.
Thank You.
Great video.. I was actually going to buy this system today.. After watching this video. I'm going to hold off.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for another great video!
You are welcome.
Super informative. Making me rethink my plan to purchase the Arlo Ultra. Thank you!
You are welcome.
Please do a follow-up video on the Arlo Ultra. Many sources say that they've fixed most of the software issues and that it's almost perfect now. :)
Keep up the good work as always. Huge fan of your channel.
Thank you. I will soon.
What a great video!!. Thank you. Now my sad story... I originally have the 720s around the house. I was excited to jumped to the Pro 2 (bought the 6 cams set over X'mas). Stupid me didnt do research and realized free subscription only support up to 5 cams. Then I returned the system and anxiously wait for the Ultras. I went overboard with the research this time (on RUclips mostly). Now I am stuck with my original 720s. Don't be greedy Arlo, you build it right, do not listen to your shareholders and I will spend my hard earned $. Then ARLO stock will rise back to $22+ and maybe if you up the 5 cam limitations, I will buy more cams??? Who is your cloud provider anyway? Maybe you should shop around for the masses of future happy buyers like me? All those Best Buys return is bad on the annual report. I am just saying. Remember ARLO, you are not Netflix! For the same $ per month, can you offer unlimited Kung Fu movies like Jet Lis and Donnie Yen? I gotta stop.
:) I like your Netflix comparison..I have to 2 camera Pro 2 system and they work fine. They should extend the free cloud recording to 6 cams at least because they do sell it as a kit.
Good stuff. You're by far the best on youtube.
Great review. Looking forward to the Reolink C2 Pro review.
Yes. Still testing but very promising camera.
@@LifeHacksterI've been using since they sent it to me 17 Jan and it's been a very good camera. I have it in the garage and not sure how it works, but it starts recording before the garage door opens. Not sure if it starts recording by picking up sound, but before someone goes into the garage, it starts recording.
Excellent review. You made my decision , and Arlo is about to see stock value plummet.
Thanks. I'm hoping that they are fixing the issues and reconsider their pricing on the cameras and its accessories.
I noticed when you did your video of the personal cameras you use and I took note. I just replaced my malfunctioning Arlo Pro 2 camera with a Reolink Argus 2. I just got it and I'll install it in the next few days and hope to have more satisfaction. I love that the Reolink Argus 2 came with so many accessories. Arlo is officially taking an L with this new camera.
I know. The Argus has all the mounts and accessories that you need for a lesser price than the Arlo. You have to play around with the angle on where you are going to install it. I did a test lately and it seems like its motion detection is a bit short ...around 15 feet which the other PIR battery powered camera can be triggered around 20-30 feet.
@@LifeHackster My Reolink Argus 2 had to be returned due to connectivity issues. Man I feel like I can't win out here. I'll either wait for Arlo to get their act together with this Ultra cam or I'll wait for the WyzeCam outdoor camera.
Yes, thank you!! I just posted in the Arlo Community that the Ultra hands down is not of the quality claimed. I decided to try out a NAS device with the Reolink C2 Pro. The C2 is by far the winner and costs less than $100.
There is a pinned post in the community with a couple of users stating how good the Ultra is. My guess is they are getting something in return from Arlo...as no one is able to post a video showing the 4K quality.
My Arlos are going back as well.
I've browsed their community forums and I feel sorry for die hard Arlo customers that are trying their best to make good of a failed product. They are giving kudos to Arlo for fixing and doing updates...well, they should be fixing it... Actually, they need to recall all of the Ultras..it doesn't work as they claimed it to be.
Thank you for the review. After reviewing this, both these cam are the same. I dont see no differences. Also, im not going to be nickle and dime for no reason. Awesome job!
Thanks.
U just earned a new sub! Great video! Really like the tests u did! Will u test them again egen all bugs are fixed?
Excellent informative video. Keep up the good work 👌
Thank you.
I love reviews like this. Really test this product out ya kno. We are talking about "security".. it needs to be dependable seeing that this is an expensive investment.
Thank you.
I just bought the Arlo Pro versus the Arlo Pro 2 because of 2 reason: cost $130 price difference. And night vision Arlo Pro 2 night vision is supposed to be darker from reviews I read. I needed something battery operated and Arlo seemed to be the best fit.
What I am really miffed about is Arlo charging for the ability to create zones for recording. To me this should be part of the package like RING does.
Continue with the great reviews.
Yes. Arlo charges for every little thing in which they need to change this type of mentality to be able to survive in this game. There are now a lot of other companies getting into battery powered WiFi cameras.
Thank you,a great amount of useful information here.
You are welcome.
Reflected my every sentiment about arlo, very good take on this.
Thanks.
Awesome review...thanks so much. Confirmed from this I will not be buying these cameras...and as result actually cancelled the premier plan which I just took up 2 months ago, as a kind of see how it goes, but after listening to your comments on what appears to be a milk me for everything business model, got angered and decided to cancel straight away
These cameras are not ready yet.... they have pulled them out and will re-release it next month...
I got the pro 2 right before the ultra came out and took it back to pay the difference for the ultra. The improvements are definitely worth the upgrade and overall the cameras have been easy to use even upon moving to a different location after a long time of no use. Image and sound quality especially on 2 way talk is worth it
I’ll be revisiting the Ultra and comparing with the eufy cam e pretty soon
I'm with Ring currently and have been waiting for better video quality camera from Arlo but it seems to me Arlo is getting even more expensive than Ring...I guess I'll just stick with Ring then. Thanks for awesome review. Subscribed!!!
Thanks..
Thanks for the honest, thorough review. I was sooooo excited about Arlo. But I'm over them now. All of these companies are trying to adopt this cloud subscription business model AND overcharge for the hardware. I won't do it.
You are welcome.
Great review. Thank you!
You are welcome.
Great job. Your assessments and comparisons are 100% credible... It’s obvious that your focus is on the technology and its capabilities. The tests are designed fairly and the data tells the story.
Thank You. I appreciate it.
Thankyou for the review, made my decesion easy.
You are welcome.
Hello! I bought the Arlo Ultra 2 weeks ago. Some of the issues have been resolved to this point, but there's still more problems to address. I'm returning back to Best Buy and exchanging them for the Arlo Pro 2. Which with a couple of more dollars, you get 4 cameras instead of 2. Go back to the drawing board Netgear
The Ultras is not ready for prime time and I don't know if it will ever be.
I just subscribed - Thank you for all the great information.
Thanks for subscribing.
damn good review. I was planning on buying the pro 2 but i may look at other options.
The Pro 2's are ok. It is just the Ultras that have some major issues.
Great in-depth review- Thanks!
You are welcome.
Great review thanks. Sounds like I should get the Aro Pro 2?
For now, the Arlo Pro 2 is better because it works... Actually today, Arlo is releasing the Ultra...so we will see.
Great review! The only thing I liked about the Arlo camera was the night vision. That looked pretty good. But, the rest of the video samples, and the structure of their cloud service for these new cameras is terrible! I have a mixture of Arlo, and Arlo Pro cameras. At this point there is NO WAY I would upgrade to these "4K" cameras. Your reviews are well done and informative!! Thank you!
I agree. The Ultras are just all hype.
Very good review. Note at one point for the arlo you said you sometimes get a motion notice but no video. When this happens to me I just restart my phone and the videos appear. I never got a video without a notice, only notices without videos. I wouldn't buy a arlo again. There are cheaper cameras that work better.
The ultras are just not reliable.
Thank you for your in depth reviews, fellow Texan! One video you seem happy with the Arlo 2 and like you'd recommend the Arlo 2. Another video you seem unsatisfied with the Arlo Pro 2. Aside from the price and the lack of accessories included what are you're main complaints? I watched your review of testing the outdoor motion detection of the Arlo Pro 2 and you seemed very pleased. I just purchased the Arlo Pro 2, 2 camera pack. Hopefully it will be a good fit for the front and back of my house.
The Arlo Pro 2 as a security camera and the hardware are good for what they are... I'm not really liking the company itself because they tend to nickel and dime their customers.
Thank you for your review, you'd saved me from spending on Arlo cams.
You are welcome.
I have been using the Arlo 2 for a while now. I like it, and it does what we need. I tried the paid subscription service and turned it off as soon as I started. It was not worth the money. So this tells me if I need to replace my equipment it will not be an Arlo again.
Yes, their new Ultras' accessories are exclusive to the UItra's only... this is a bad planning on their part.
Ill stick with my pros since i never have problems with them. No need to upgrade. Great review!
My Pro 2 's too have no issues like this. Thanks.
Great review keep it up. Would you ever consider reviewing off brand or not so well know products. Like the Pineworld smart locks?
Probably not unless they have a potential or something unique about them.
@@LifeHackster I can respect that. I would like to see you review a lock that has biometrics built into them. Like the Ultraloq I think it's unique for a smart lock since most major ones don't have them.
Thanks for the great comparison LH! The only plus for the ultra was the audio test because it definitely sounded crystal clear. However they're going to kill themselves with all the nickel and diming. Also whoever decided to release this camera in this state should be fired!
It is crystal clear but still in the low volume range.
Once again great job.
Thank You.
This was great video review. Thanks! Could you do another follow-up since we're now in May? Still debating whether or not getting this Arlo system unless they've fixed all this issues you've pointed out.
I will eventually, I have a lot of thing lined up. It seems quite now, so they might have fixed the issues.
Excellent review, hardly any difference, only reason for which I bought Arlo, was because I don't need a monthly subscription with equipment that I bought!....please Arlo" don't mess it all up
Thanks for your video
You are welcome.
Excellent review!
Thanks.
Thanks man! Great useful review! I was planning to wait some weeks/months more the new cam... I guess I stick to the Pro2
Yes. The Ultras are not ready for prime time.
I'm glad I watched these videos it seems that the eufi is the best system but with the drawback of not being able to replace the battery
True.. I wish they have designed it to be removable.
I appreciate the reviews and the input on these wireless cameras. I subscribed and liked the video I have watched a couple of your other videos as well. With that being said, what would you recommend two or three camera system by the 4K or 1080p wired or Wireless setup. Thank you.
I’m not sure nickel and dime is quite right. More like Jackson and Grant based on those prices! If you want 4K, it really needs to be wired NVR. Even if you have to pay someone to run the wires, at least it is only a one time fee. Looking forward to C2 review. That camera in a weatherproof housing would be great!
Lol.. on Jackson and Grant... which is true... Reolink will release Keen 2 which is an outdoor wireless battery powered Pan Tilt camera which looks like the C2 PRo. I'm not sure about the resolution though but I think it is 1080p but should be the same video quality of the Argus 2.
Oh by the way... Awesome knowledgeable video. Thank you Sir!
You are welcome.
LifeHackster ,, Thanks for being on Top, and on Point with these Camera Reviews,, As Im tired of being “Nickle and Dimed myself..
You are welcome.
Really nice ad impressive test. will sub from now on.
Thank You.
Great video again! Thanks
Thanks.
Thanks again! For your honesty Netgear as you said are just trying to nickel and dime their customers like Apple. What I can’t understand is. Why would they put these over price cams for sell and it still have problems. I have seen and read Bestbuy customers reviews and everyone like yourself. Agree these cams are not ready for prime time.
Actually Apple is better at least their lightning cable is cheaper than Arlo's charging cable :)
Great video again.. keep it up. I'll stay away from the Ultra. Already have issues with the Pro 2 when it doesn't even trigger a recording.
Thanks.
Here it is July 15th, 2019 and I am looking to buy a security on AMAZON day that has some sales on mostly Amazon items but I was looking to buy Arlo but my friend, I appreciate your well thought out and done right videos you produce. I would not buy Arlo, Arlo Pro, Arlo Pro 2 or even the Arlo Ultra 4K.....Even if it was 50% off today and tomorrow I still would not buy ANY type of Arlo's. Time to look at buy some real camera's. Arlo seems like a scam and I thank you again for your time.
You are welcome.
Bought the 4 pack Arlo Ultra+, not impressed for $1,000.00. After hearing the SD card info you talked about I am going to return them this week.
-HORRIBLE battery life if you want them to be stand alone not plugged in all of the time. Having to charge mine (the pack of 4 came with 1 charger) every week or so.
-Had a very hard time setting up, the hub had a glitch.
-Records a few seconds (1-3s.) when it should be 5m+. This is what really gets me. No point in having cameras like this!
I do not recommend!
Too expensive and the bad thing is that it doesn't even work reliably.
Great video. Makes me reconsider the ultra 2. What would you recommend for 2 cameras monitoring outside?
Funny video Lifehackster!!!!Stay on Arlo's but to fix their problems. I still think the ultra's indoor looks great. The C2 pro looks best outdoors. Again, great job!!!!
Thank You.
Great job again. Soo glad I chose PoE Ring over Arlo..
Thank You.
Thank you for the review. Don't let your batteries drain down to nothing, or they will not recharge.
I usually charge before it gets depleted.
I have the pro 2's and they have worked flawlessly. I'll hold off on upgrading though
My Pro 2s works pretty good too..
You are spot-on with your review! Arlo’s are overpriced for what you get. They nickel and dime you for everything, and you will end up spending the same amount (or more) for a quality POE camera system like Reolink. My Arlo Pro’s 1 failed ( 3 out of 4) and every warranty replacement was worse than the original camera. Arlo/Netgear has terrible customer service, and their products are not reliable, which is only getting worse with the flop of the Ultra. Thanks for calling them out. 👍
True. They have also have a tendency to update their app/firmware without beta testing it resulting on multiple issues and bugs.
Great Review, thanks much
You are welcome.
You have done an excellent job of analyzing these cameras. I don't think the Ultra is worth the money. Also, their audio output on the Arlo Pro is deceptive at around 25 decibels.
Thanks.
I switched to a hard wired lorex 4k system. A little more pricy depending on how many cameras, but IMO better quality.
Wired NVR systems are definitely way better in quality and also are more reliable than WiFi cameras.
Arlo NO MORE for me! Returning my Arlo Pro 2 immediately. Thanks for posting and taking so much time to explain.
You are welcome.
Hi LifeHackster,
I am using the Arlo Pro 2 for 2 months now.
Here is my experience. Not sure other has same problem like I do but some sharing thoughts and experience
1. B.S offline quite often and Tech. support asked to perform BS factory reset. (issue still there but better)
2. Notification Alert delay 3 sec. up to 18 sec.
3. Got the notification to the phone. Connect to the Alro app_ got the message "The device Faile to connect. Please try again"
4. Unable to view live video when notification alert because the B.S and camera was busy to record the motion
5. Same with 2 way radio. Failed to connect when B.S & camera is busy recording the motion.
6. Video footage is 1080p but the total bit rate is small due to video compression. so it is not 1080p but it is 720.
7. It is good no month subscription and 7 days video storage free.
8. I think the Arlo Pro 2 is good for view the footage in the cloud storage or hard drive or USB thumb nail.
9. Live stream video without record the footage is good but not recording the footage and stream live at once.
10. I am planning to move on to Nest IQ outdoor camera and pay subscription with 24/7 video recording
Arlo Pro 2 hardware wise is pretty good and it does work but when Arlo starts updating and upgrading, they always mess up the working features and it will take them a while to fix the issue and then another issue will come up..this is the usual happening with Arlo..
Great review!I have an Arlo Pro 2, 5 camera setup. Is it fair to say that the Arlo Ultra is not yet ready for prime time? That's MY 2 cents any ways.... Great review!!
Thanks.
Well, at least they are doing it. We can’t complain if we are not being charged. Especially since all other security camera companies charge you for everything too. Sounds like they are having some issues with this 4K camera. It does not really look like 4K footage to me. I really cannot tell the difference.
I will revisit this camera later down the line and will test it out again.
Hi brilliant videos I am sticking to my blink Camera don’t have any problems with the picture quality and video
Blink cameras are pretty good.
LifeHackster hi I am having problems with the blink app trying to set to IFTTT I am all way getting errors like when I set to location on the IFTTT and blink if I live Home I get error and it won’t let me continue can you help
Thank you
You are welcome.
Here's the problem I have with most security cameras of the Arlo type and many others. In California most homes have power panels outside. Ours is on the side of the house where the garage is. Were I a thief I would simply open the panel and shut off all power to the house. That will disable all alarms, kill all WiFi signals, shut down modems, and switch off routers. The only cameras, in those circumstances, that will record anything will be battery or solar powered with SD Card memory in the camera unit (not in the hub). I have cameras that are solar powered so I don't have to use a ladder to change batteries. They also have SD Card slots for local memory. Under normal circumstances I can view stills or videos directly from the camera, and can view the data or control the camera over the internet. If the power fails I still have WiFi access to the recorded data. I'm using several brands but the one that seems best to me is the ReoLink Argus 2 with the optional solar panel. It's not perfect but it fits my needs best.
You can always use a UPS on your modem and router and a battery powered camera overlooking your power panel so that at least you will still get notified when somebody tries shutting off power.
I have had Arlo's since it was VueZone...before netgear bought them. You are absolutely correct in their vampire money sucking tactics for accessories and packages and system upgrades. Very expensive ecosystem to get involved with
Yes... and it seems like they are still not learning their lesson... they rereleased the Ultras but it still has issues when you browse their forums.
Thanks for this review
You are welcome.
I’m sticking with wired cameras. Thanks for your video. Just made me decide no to arlo altogether
You are welcome.
LifeHackster, I believe the problem in the editing software has to do with your computer not supporting 4k playback. I had the same thing happen to me when trying to playback 4k video and was told my computer was outdated.
I bought my computer last year 2018. I edit Go Pro and Canon 4k videos all the time on this computer. So, this is definitely not my editing software, my computer , or anything on my end.
really good video! thanks!
You are welcome.
No Nest/Arlo products for me! I like my Ring and Reolinks! I have the new C2 and love it. I would like to see you try other products like Amcrest and more....
Yes the C2 Pro is pretty good. Overall the video quality of Reolink can’t be beat. The only issue I have right now is their PIR sensors on the Argus has limited detection especially beyond 15 feet...
Awesome review. Can the Arlo Pro 2 cameras be used just recording to the base station, without any cloud storage? If so, do movement alerts and remote viewing work the same as they do when using the free cloud storage?
As to the backup recording to the Arlo Pro 2's base station, No. Uploading to the cloud is the default recording and cannot be changed or turned off. Also, to view the footage recorded, you will need to unplug your backup drive/thumb drive and connect it to ta computer to view the footage.
Thanks for the reviews. I think Arlo lacks the quality for me to upgrade from Arlo Pro. I will be moving to a DVR type system, mainly because I am un happy with the fact that I need the internet to look. I would rather have the ability to watch my cameras without the internet restriction.
Wired NVR PoE systems are still a better option as to a reliable security/surveillance camera system.
You are awesome bro. I am a subscriber now.
Thank You.
Thanks for the detailed and in-depth review. This help me make a decision not to purchase an Arlo system, but still looking. Which system do you feel would be best and reasonably priced?
Which other camera do you recommend considering same Arlo Ultra price?
Look at the cheaper Eufy Cam e..
