John McGinley is an absolute legendary actor. Definitely deserved multiple awards for his performance on this show. But, I honestly think, he will become a legend, as opposed to any award that he would have won instead.
my husband and I loved this show so much. I've been in the medical field for the last 24 years and this show is the most accurate medical show that has ever existed. The personality types are spot on.
This show will always have a special place in my heart!! All of the cast and writers, and directors did such an amazing job. The comedy in this show is everything, I'm so happy that they gave JD and Eliot a happy ending together.
Do you see how much they’re tearing up when they’re talking? I love these guys and they clearly made something with their whole heart and it feels that way.
As a day 1 superfan of the show.. Seasons 5 - 6 and 7 was a huge dip in quality for me.. They became to selfaware and started doing jokes based on stuff they had talked about on earlier seasons dvd commentaries, things that was just supposed to be injokes between the cast got pushed to the front and it got weird at times (ofc still great episodes in all those seasons).. However with seson 8 they came back with a vengence and brought a season on the level with the first one.. Not many shows stuck the landing like scrubs did... Season "9" doesn't count
I work as a Nurse and I have to say Scrubs is the only medical show that makes me feel good working in healthcare. The Show ER is probably the most realest medical show and drama but Scrubs is where I hope to feel when working. It reminds me of happy times and having that sense of humor that you need when you save lives.
I am 34 now. Throughout my entire life I've struggled with MASSIVE psychological issues, depression, anxiety, my entire life. When it was bad I always watched this show, and tonight, my mother's husband died.. So here I am. Watching my favorite people, talk about my favorite show. I love these people, whom I've never met. Most likely never will. They got me through some really rough spots.
That was very sweet, thank you. This show was a huge part of my 20s and helped me realize how important and difficult it is to put heart into entertainment. I don't re-watch it constantly anymore, but there's no denying that Scrubs has heavily influenced my sense of humour and my constitution as an artist.
Born in 64, loved "Mash", This show brought me back to Mash. The best show begat this show. My mom cried when Mash ended, she would have done the same with this show (gone before). I don't think I have loved, laughed and was so invested in a show since. The writers, actors etc... were excelant! Try to find a favorite,....you are out of luck. Insane package.
This came out while I'm in the middle of rewatching the show for the eighth time. It's my favorite and will always be cherished. Makes me laugh until I cry and cry until I pass out lol Love these guys ❤️
I feel like these guys are my bestfriends, like I know them so well. There is no other show like Scubs. I'm re-watching the series for the 100th time and it's still funny, and still an emotional roller coaster.
GIF I use most from scrubs is McGinley's medley of "WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG" 😆 I loved Scrubs so much, and the cast feels like family to the audience too 💕 I only wish them all the bestest.
Scrubs was with me through all of my university years. I absolutely love the show, the writing, the cast, the guests, the countless dream sequences, all of it. I hope it gets a Blu Ray release someday.
Always thought JD looked so young, so weird to see him actually age now in real life! The others look the same especially Turk and Carla.. This cast and show is pure nostalgia!
its been 15 yrs , watching this show on a daily basis , memorized almost all the lines, jokes , and my gf askin me why ? i said , its my home. It puts me on track , when i got probs, etc. Love u CAST !!!!! Love u SCRUBS !!
Still to this day my comfort show, they dont make comedy like this anymore out of fear of being cancelled and man i miss it, but this show always keeps me happy.
This show made my mom wanna be a nurse and now she is and I've taking so many lessons on empathy, pain, realism and sadness but also love, comfort, what Zach said "belly laughs" and a sense of home with this show. Started watching wit my mom when I was 14 goin of 15 and I'm 27 now and like turk said seeing them and hearing their voices brings me back to 2001 all over again. There are some classics on tv but nothing brings it all together like scrubs love and thank you guys❤!!!
i still mourn this show to this day, i watch it once a year and it's never enough. i grew up with the show and the characters and i miss them dearly - still waiting for the dr. acula movie!
I was and still am a huge fan of Dr cox, I had a tattoo of him in character done on my back. I then posted the picture on a fanpage not knowing that John C actually looked at the fan page. He then acknowledged the tattoo I was so pleased. That show helped me through some dark times and I will be forever grateful for it.
I would personally argue that the most-used GIF of Johnny C. is the classic "WRONG WRONG WRONG WRROOOONG.....WRONG WRONG WRONG WROOOONG.....YOU'RE WROOOOONG...YOU'RE WROOOOOOONGG". Love seeing this amazing cast back together, and I still miss the show so much.
Nice little reunion that, reminded me to get back to the podcast! One of the all-time greatest shows, and weirdly underrated despite the love that still exists for it. I think a lot of people found it too wacky or whatever on first impression, and didn't give it a chance to show its depth. There was so much going on in this show for a ~30 minute network sitcom, it had absolutely everything. But without good writers like Bill and a cast with the range that these guys had, it would have died a death after the first season no doubt. The dream team. 😍
I think it was more because of how horribly it aged in such a short time 😅. You rewatch shows like MASH or Golden Girls and they still are fun to watch without making you cringe
I have all 9 seasons on DVD and have gone through it probably 5 times beginning to end. By far my favorite show. Makes me want to go back through another time.
Well that was a fun interview. loved the trip back memory lane, what a great show it was. making you feel but also laugh is very special! and it is still relevant and holds up well today
My all time favorite show. The love I have for this show, these characters, the stories they told is unlike any other interaction I've ever had with any other TV show or media. I can't explain how it makes me feel and how truly special this cast and what they've created really is.
This made me want to rewatch the show again. I love it. It’s my kind of literal humor with a dose of heart and emotion. My moms a nurse and doesn’t like the show because she says she doesn’t like the way they portray nurses which I can’t still seem to understand. They don’t portray them in a bad way at all.
My nurse friends don’t like it because 90% of what the doctors do in the show, is what nurses do in real life. Doctors actually spend very little time with patients. They check the clipboard , tell the patient the diagnosis and prescribe meds then it’s on to the next patient.
The episode where Brendan Fraser plays Dr Cox's dying brother and his funeral is still one of the most poignant and well-written pieces of television ever broadcast.
@@MetallicaRocksss Totally agree, it hits hard. The first time through, it's sort of a Sixth Sense moment where the realization and the emotion really have a lot of impact.
@@MetallicaRocksss i've watched this show over and over again and other than the finale, nothing breaks me harder than that moment right there. kills me every single time i watch it
Forever my favorite show along with chappelle show and the boondocks. in my 4th year of med school now and most residents say of all the doctor tv shows, this one is the most accurate!
This show is so incredibly nuanced. I've never felt like a cast was more connected, and having watched all 8 seasons several times, I have grown to love them a little bit like family. I would love to know how much fun they had making Season 6, Episode 6, My Musical. It was so campy and really showcased what an excellent singer Judy Reyes really is, and the Guy Love song cracked me up so bad when Turk and JD looked up in the air raising their arms to the sky in an exaggerated expression of emotion. Hilarious. I don't know how they kept a straight face.
Loved seeing this. To this day, I have their rendition of a Colin Haye song -- that they gave a deeper meaning to -- on my playlist. Still brings me comfort.
I wish that Bill Lawrence's wife, Christa Miller was part of this reunion. I know that her part was very small playing Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) ex-wife.
This show is totally about the "human condition!" It's a comedic look at how we relate to each other, and our situations in a comedic way! But very forthright, very human!
I am on season 8 and I love this show. I have watched the show in the past when I first began watching streaming TV. Then I began it again during the pandemic when the Podcast came on and now I am watching it again. This show is an all time favorite!!
20+ years watching this show. On repeat. Not once, did it ever occur to me that sets like the apt and the bar, were built into the hospital. I know a lot of outside the hospital scenes were filmed at the hospital, never once thought about the apt and bar. Mind. Blown. 🤯
I love this show. Scrubs might be a little bit more of a specialized show, but it definitely has just as much staying power as others like Friends and you can definitely tell everyone poured their hearts and souls into making the show
Best show ever...the best directing, writing, acting...best people! My daughter and I bonded, deeply, over this show! If the doorbell rang, it was ignored. My ex-neighbor worked on the set, painting, and my ex-hubby got my daughter and I onto the set. We spent a day in Heaven. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. It was a day that we will never EVER forget.
I would love to see this show become a series again with the actors in advanced positions in their medical fields… All working in the same hospital showing their everyday interactions… No doubt in my mind that it would be a great success!
Theses guys and gals will never know how they helped with through getting disabled in the middle east, and how when everyone was sleeping, I'd be in too much pain to sleep... That John McGinley never won an Emmy for his work on this show is criminal. In fact, I don't think he was ever nominated
John McGinley is an absolute legendary actor. Definitely deserved multiple awards for his performance on this show.

Scrubs actually has very valid mentorship and leadership lessons throughout the show.

my husband and I loved this show so much. I've been in the medical field for the last 24 years and this show is the most accurate medical show that has ever existed. The personality types are spot on.
This show changed my life, made me so happy in nursing school and I rewatched it during the pandemic to help me get through the hard days

R.I.P. Sam Lloyd aka Ted the Lawyer and also a Musician with The Blanks
Legend! He cracked me up almost every scene he was in. Very very talented musician.
Loved this show and the whole cast!! Anytime I hear one of them is acting in something, I always give it a shot due to my love for all of them!!!
Have you seen Firefly Lane? It's amazing. I didn't think that it would be my kind of thing but it was great!
