      12 year old me used to watch these shows Saturday mornings on spike TV. Dreamed of being able to do aftermarket work like this as a job and for myself. Alas things change and very rarely go how we dream lol

    • @plantdesigns7889
      @plantdesigns7889 2 года назад +2

      @@zacheiriksson my problem is I always wanted to do it right and that costs money lol. In highschool I wanted an S10 and was going to lower it and put a snug top shell on and have a big wall of sub woofers. I started looking at what I wanted and adding up the cost. I decided I didn't want to work that much while I was in school 🤣. Same story when I got my Camaro senior year and probably won't ever do anything to the Accord Coupe I have now. Oh well, it's fun to dream.

      @@battosaijenkins946 someone needs a lesson on how bad making batteries are for the environment. Add in you still burn fossil fuel to create the electricity to charge said electric car. So you get to kill the environment making batteries. Kill the environment to produce the electricity to charge it. Then when the batteries are toast you have to find a way to dispose of highly toxic objects. Keep telling yourself that the Tesla is so much better. 😆

      @@dixiecbclub3437 Strange GM fact, the GMT400 series didn't officially end until 2001. The half ton trucks got the first GMT800 restyle with the all new LS based V8's in 1999. In 2000, the Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban got the GMT800 upgrade. Your truck, a heavy duty pickup didn't get the GMT800 treatment until 2001. It sure was a strange transition for GM trucks and suv's, but also the beginning of their decline as well. Both of you are lucky to have those trucks, they are the last of the good ones. My 1999 Z71 looks just like this one, but sunburnt BAD. The truck has over 300k(rebuilt trans at 240k), and still runs strong! Keep them forever if you can boys, they don't make em like this anymore...

    Look, I've taken the load off my torsion bars and tried to take them out.....they don't slide out like that, not at all. I'm guessing there was a whole lot of work done off camera to get them to slide out like that. Maybe on a brand new truck then would but a truck that has been used and has any kind of rust down there....not a chance

    That truck uses a rack & pinion? 🤔 Interesting, I have a 04" Chevy Tahoe and it has a gear box set up not rack & pinion 🤔 Interesting

    How did this increase ground clearance?

    • @Properformancenutritioncom
      @Properformancenutritioncom 5 лет назад

      dwalmop2 The taller tires lifted the entire truck including the axles higher off the ground & the lift kit raised everything above the axles even higher.

    I just need a good three inch lift on my 02 silver....besides she sees the highway 99 percent of the time....and these kits cost an arm and middle leg...anyone know of a cheap way to raise the front 3 inches besides cranking on the torsion bars?
