@Emerald J6 Emerald j6 o woops I still sometimes get riffs and runs confused. I still think riffs can be self taught though. If you can learn simple runs on your own, I believe you can gradually increase difficulty and be able to sing riffs. There's tons of information on the internet and tons of self taught singers. There's nearly nothing that can't be taught.

I’m half deaf and tone deaf but I still taught myself how to sing, I can sing by myself but I’m more of a copycat if I hear someone sing I can sing in perfect pitch to them but by myself I can’t have my own creative riffs and things

in my opinion self taught singers are usually waaayyy better than vocal coaches and ppl who had singing lessons. ppl who had singing lessons were taught to sing with boundaries and what not to do and what to do, etc. but self taught learn from what they hear in other singers with no boundaries, and they’re always better!
grace oveson Singing lessons are to emphasise the vocals you already have,not to change them.Having singing lessons teaches you the proper technique without becoming out of breath or sounding raspy.

While you may prefer his tone or style, it is undeniable that she has better control and technique. Control is not simply who has a faster voice because that is largely due to luck at birth, however, training your voice to move quickly is important. Control is the ability to use dynamics and maintain pitch, the ability to move throughout your registers without obvious breaks and maintaining pitch. Control is the ability to manipulate your voice to do what you want it to do, not simply about runs.
Hey man, I've really been loving your videos. I discovered them the other day and I can't stop watching them, you make very great content and I love your voice. I have wanting to learn how to sing or improve my voice because I think it would be a cool talent or side hobby to have. I am not very good with my voice anymore I am a 15 year old guy, I don't really want to talk about it with anyone because it is kind of embarrassing growing up with everyone around me listening to hip hop. Any advice and how would I start improving my voice and start learning progressively to do different notes and other stuff of that sort sorry I don't know the terms.
