This is great presentation and one of the best I have seen. It links transformation to the details on the ground. Thanks a ton for recording and posting !

this is really great, some wisdom shared there that I think only makes sense with time and experience and finding out what doesn't work vs what does - thanks for sharing!
Velocity isn’t a performance metric because one team’s velocity cannot be compared to another, so there’s no benchmark. Velocity is based on how that team estimates, which is unique to them. Velocity helps the team know about how much it can get done in an increment. That’s all. Many factors will cause them to do more or less, and it’s not necessarily a performance issue. Capacity utilization - what defines utilization? I can argue that the most value comes from thinking and deriving a solution than actually coding it. How would you measure utilization? What teams use to measure performance often is different than what I recommend. Thus this video. Lead time, cycle time, learning cycles, business outcomes that result from what’s delivered, customer satisfaction. Those are what really matter.
Depends on what you mean. If as pulling their weight on the team and their contribution to the team's deliverables, that's via observation and peer review. One could write 25% of the code as another and provide more value to the overall effort by way of design, ideas, and mentoring. If by personal goals and growth, then there should be measures tied to those objectives.
Very good video, part of the problem is big corporations love to assess individual talent on a bell curve. So managers are forced to rate people individually instead of us teams. So management is forced to micromanage or get involved. What are some ways to deflect that?
No. Lead time includes cycle time and accounts for the upfront time it takes an idea or an order to be acted upon. Here’s another resource that breaks this down. kissflow.com/project/agile/lead-time-vs-cycle-time-in-kanban/

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing Jimmie. You provide clarity and great insight into the true success indicators aligned with delivering value and not targets.
I'm glad you found it helpful. Thanks for providing feedback.
Fantastic overview of metrics and how they should be used - where the focus should be on outcome not throughput. Thank you, Jimmie; you Rock!
Thanks for checking it out.
This video is very well composed and takes a multi dimensional view of what being agile really means. Very insightful. Thank you!
Thank you very much!

Thanks! A clear and informative video

Thanks for watching. I’m glad you found it useful.
Very interesting and very well presented - thank you
Hi, this is realy a great summary of metrics! I appreciate this!
Great video, good insights - Well summarized. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thx Jimmie, great insights, I still struggling to measure success not an easy thing at all.
Absolutely fantastic! thank you
Awesome ppt.. 👏
Thanks.
I'm talkin bout muh man, Jimmy Butler 🎵 🎶
Thanks for sharing Jimmie. Is it possible if you could share the agile maturity report template you show in @26:24 with me please? Much appreciated!
What metrics are used in agile for measuring their performance? Like Velocity or capacity utilisation?

How will u assess an individual performance

Isn't cycle time and lead time the same?
No. Lead time includes cycle time and accounts for the upfront time it takes an idea or an order to be acted upon. Here’s another resource that breaks this down. kissflow.com/project/agile/lead-time-vs-cycle-time-in-kanban/
I see why there's a duck, I just keep seeing the rabbit.
