I had to comment. I am watching older videos trying to catch up. I am knitting the Flax sweater and noticed I purled a row on the sleeve/shoulder where I should have knit, 3 rows down. I was using a regular crochet hook to go down the 3 rows and correct the garter stitch when you talked about the fix-a-stitch crochet hook. Thank you! I have a couple sizes of that hook and reached over to my dish that had my fix-a-stitch hook. It goes so much quicker!
Hi Nancy, great tips this week. Love the scarf kits! Making the "Moon Set Tee" in a brown raw silk and really enjoying this pattern. Great summer knit!
Hi Nancy: I’m from Western Mass but, originally from Needham and Duxbury. I met you at the Vogue Knitting Retreat at Lake Placid. I’m the one with the horse. I’ve just cast on the Argent cardigan by Louisa Harding. JoAnn
Hi, watched your podcast for the first time today. I’m south of you but still in the states. I live in the greater New Orleans area. I’m still knitting summer Tee’s. Enjoyed your podcast.
Hi Nancy, love seeing you pop up on my queue. I recently had a terrific lesson from Kathryn, by way of Beth. She helped me overcome my fear of short rows. You have an amazing staff. I'm working on a berocco
I live in Raleigh, NC. It's 97 degrees. I am knitting the second sleeve on a sweater,, Dunes of Latvia. I haven't knitted a sweater in years but it has been an adventure.
Great point about the importance of confidence. I really want the Drawing Sweater but the footwork was holding me back. I decided to pull out a couple of single skeins I have and knit a 'sample' of part of the yoke. It is really small, on purpose, but it has been a great way for me to learn about yarn management, managing longer floats and tension. Now my challenge will be the yarn. I am really sensitive to more rustic, non-superwash wools. I need to find something grippy enough for the colorwork that I will be comfortable wearing.
Hello, I live in Charlotte, NC. But five years ago, I lived in Hyde Park, Ma and visited your shop several times. You carry lovely yearn. I am currently making two Flax sweaters. I seem to be stuck on this pattern and I plan to make several more.
Hi 👋 Sue from New Zealand. I am knitting a sweater from Penrose Knits - a Petite Soufflé for my granddaughter that will be born in December. Love your podcast/vlog.
Terrific video... I knitted a baby sweater in Uptown yarn. (pink sand colorway) What impressed me most was the "feel" of the yarn. The baby pattern had a peplum pleat on the bottom. I have never done that. From 100 stitches to 300 stitches.
You reach Lisbon, Portugal, but something must have happened around here, and I forgot to write a comment...thank you for sharing all your knowledge and expertise . Lots of love from Lisbon 🥰
Love your episodes, you provide so much helpful information! I love all the yarn info your share each week. How many years have you been knitting? Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!!! I'm working on socks right now, circular 9" method. Nothing fancy, vanilla socks from Crazy Sock Lady. Purple and white yarn, it is quite attractive. You have added to my knitting joy! Best, Carrie from the Northern San Francisco Bay Area.
Hi Nancy, I’m from Hudson valley NY, working on 3rd 1/2&1/2 wrap while sitting on dock of our lake home. Just finished the mosaic dot scarf in natural and grey alpaca, just love the pattern and finished product, possible Christmas gift knit. Love that pie scarf kit.

@@jeffersonmorant it’s lovely here warm of course but not as warm as it was a few months ago and likely not as bad as it has been in the US according to the weather reports. Thanks sooo much for the podcast. Cardigan is almost done. Mostly self drafted and yes with a hood. I’m proud of having been able to figure that out.
Hi Nancy, I’m from Attleboro Ma. I’m not far from you and would like to visit your shop soon. Will the commuter train get me close enough to your shop to walk from there? I I drive but a train ride would be fun. I’m working on my Rhinebeck sweater, which is Stratified from the worsted book. I’m using Barroco Lana for the yarn. It makes a nice affordable sweater.
Nancy just got back from a vacation to the Canadian Rockies. She was inspired by the beauty (and trips to local yarn shops). Watch this weeks video for details.
Peggy Vermont. Socks on the go and a Ruan at home. After a you tube video I figured out where I went wrong. I would like to learn how to do a short row heal
Be adventurous, look up new techniques on RUclips Try new things! I started knitting with dbl pts and learned to make mittens. Hi, Massachusetts, now living in NM. I'm finishing
