In Europe most coaches usually only talk about positioning, shot choices and tactics. Techniques never go this in-depth because we have large groups of players training. It's nice to see these video's and get confirmation on some things I've been doing over time as an experienced advanced player. I always use my fingers to turn my racket head slightly with different strokes purely out of experience of doing it wrong and adjusting to get those shots right. Never did a coach tell me to use my index finger or not for any strokes. Most video's on this channel are complete opposite from the way we get training in my country. I like it a lot.
DId you notice the grip of an asian player vs a non-asian player? When I was taught in HK, I was told to leave a space between the racket grip and the palm of my hand. So I was holding the racekt in place using my 3 fingers. With this grip, I can use my index finger and my thumb to rotate the grip between a forehand and a backhand grip easier vs the hand shake grip that has been taught by many video.
LOVE FROM NEPAL 💌 I have a question Sir. Every time I see that the Coach Han talks about the power and use of index finger for proper grip but what about the small fist. The player with small fist finds it difficult to hold the racket with index finger properly. Can you make a video on it please? #full-swing_BDMT #love_from_NEPAL
I don't understand. When smash defending, the grip is backhand grip. With a backhand grip, typically your index finger is lower. You use your thumb to generate power like a whip. But if the index finger is holding, you do gain stability, but you lose out on that "snap" power. I like the videos from this channel, but this particular one seems contradictory.
hahaha. what is forehand grip? what is backhandgrip? The grip becomes meaningless when you become a advanced level. I guarantee it. look at this ruclips.net/video/qmvaDotYdJE/видео.html

What Coach Han emphasizes the most is 'stamina'. You need stamina to maintain your skills and focus.
Good Luck! :-)

This has totally improved my defence. I am now able to lift easily to the backline from a smash.
that's good :-)
Tqs coach, i was really amazed by the depth, as i was wondering why defending smashes feels heavy on my raquet, finally got it🎉🎉
that's good :-)

that's good. :-)
Usually, a week is taught on one topic. So, videos with similar themes are made one after another.
Which bat coach was used?
Sometimes i feel so hard to defend a smash from opponent but a pro player can defend and control the shuttle, is it a matter of reflex or technique ?😢

good recommended
Same ID as Shopee. thank u so much🙂
Beginners who are new to badminton don't learn this. But they must know for the next level.
