- I show you how to make what I call a "rainbow light" stone out of resin to use in jewelry making.
How I made my mold: • Resin: DIY Sphere Mold...
I used Little Windows brand resin: www.little-wind...

You can find iridescent rolls of cellophane at craft stores and many places where gift wrap is sold.
Music: "Pluto" by Topher Mohr and Alex Elena (found in the RUclips audio library)
I watched your video on how to make the mold used for this project and that was a life saver. Cheers!
Your sphere mold tutorial helped me a lot, I'm not making a sphere but a long tear-drop shape. I'm going to use your technique :)
Beautiful, just a tip, using a silicon mould can dull the shine of the resin, so what I do is glaze them :) you could also just use a polishing medium :)
Henley Phoenix hi what polish do you use for resin?I have no luck with it yet....😁
I love your tutorials! Your designs are the best that I've seen on RUclips! Thank you for making and posting these!
Very creative! I love the shimmery colors that cellophane glitter gives off. They sell some at Jo-Ann's in in a wide bottle container. I find it helpful when they're all cut up for me so it makes it easier to work with.
Thanks! I will have to look for those in a bottle next time I go by Jo-Ann's. I also want to try some stuff called fantasy film. I saw it online and it is mostly used for making the really nice costume fairy wings.
They have cellophane at Jo-Ann's?? Cool, i will have to find them there! 👌🏼🙂
Beautiful little ball.love it.
The little resin marbles were very pretty and the wire wrap was very nice :)
Thank you! I am not very skilled with wire wrapping, so your compliment makes me feel better about it : )
Julia Rogers Wire wrapping can be difficult but your ring turned out very cute :)!
Great tutorial, finished pieces looked fab :) Juli
Very creative! Well done video, too!
Awesome video, thanks for sharing your technique!
These are so cool! Thanks for the video!
I thought the title was "Rainbow Light up ring" lol! but very nice! I love watching resin art projects! 😊
This is so cool. I would love to start doing resin crafts as a hobby one day, and possibly sell them :-)
Resin is very addictive, and it's fun and you will love it. i will begin selling my resins too! ^.^
Love your videos!! You are so clever, Thank you!!!!
Bit big for my tastes, but these are super pretty. They'd make gorgeous necklace pendants.
Thank you for sharing, new subscriber here.
I would love to know how you did the wire wrapping, very pretty!
thanks, love how your videos are straight to the point! I don't have time to waste, lol.
Thanks! Being to the point is definitely one of my goals when creating my videos. It's good to hear that people appreciate that.
Im gona be doing the same but, I will make the pendant flat and alot smaller.🙌goals
Very pretty
Thank you : )
Very cute!
This is so cool! I'd like to try...

hello. I have seen your video about making this mold and I really love it. But I have a question: what material could I use instead of the shiny glass marble to make the marble mold? Thank you!
Beatiful💝😊
Woulda been nice to get a close-up of it.
thats so cool!!
Just gorgeous
I just got the amazing mold rubber and made the marble mold perfectly!! But when I attempted the resin casting, it stuck to the rubber and wouldn't come off. Am I doing something wrong??
What kind of resin are you using?
Maybe a silly question but if I'm looking to make a necklace, would I just drill a hole down the middle of the sphere to run a thin wire to attach to the chain? Thanks!
Nicole Holden no its better to but in a little eye or wire while the resin is almost cured that way you won't damage the resin ...or hurt yourself.
Great video. I've been wanting to make a sphere. But watching this brings up a question. Resin usually doesn't look nice and shiny unless you glaze it. Glazing a sphere with resin would be difficult. What do you do?
My spheres come out pretty shiny from these silicone molds because I molded them from shiny, glass marbles. I have found that you can glaze pieces with resin that has thickened a bit. I have been experimenting with making a hollow resin dome and its surface was a bit dull. I glazed it by pouring a pool of thickened resin on top and letting it slowly run down and coat the piece and it turned out beautiful and glassy. I imagine that a sphere could be coated the same. I will experiment and see : )
Thank you so much for answering. I'm hunting for something round to make my mold with now lol. My daughters marbles are a little too small. Thank you for the videos. They are exactly what I was looking for. :-)
Amazing!!!
Hi Julie, are you still doing resin projects?
Beautiful pieces! Can you tell me where you got the mold from?
ShrinkingSusieQ Thank you for the compliment! Your comment just made me realize that I forgot to link my mold making video, haha.
WOW!!! It vrey preet
wow!!
Genial
How do I get a hold of a mold like this?
I made mine. I have another video showing how to make one. You can find some suppliers online who sell them.
Do you use any type of mold release?
+Sam C. No, I don't use any with these types of silicone molds. You can, but it isn't necessary.
And also since you seem to be breaking your molds to get them out, isn't that rather expensive if you have to make a new mold for each one, that mold mix is not cheap.
Debra Polenz The mold is reusable even with the cuts. This particular silicone holds up well to the stretching.
Julia Rogers In response to reading this - what type of mold did you use (brand, etc.)? You're a brilliant artist, I really enjoyed this and I would love to do this. Thank for sharing! God bless! ::)
+Debra Polenz She isn't breaking her molds--those cuts are necessary on a sphere mold. They are made at the end of the molding process in order to get the marble (or whatever the old was made from) out of the mold. Even if they did start to rip a bit, placing a rubber band around the mold during casting would prevent any resin from seeping out.

Showing a vid of how something is done and asking someone to perform tasks shown are two different things as far as I'm aware.
What resin do you use? My cellophane always sinks to the bottom :(
stand on your head and pour the resin.
@@johndover9746 ?
You should let the resin cure for a bit and then add the cellophane.
WOW! *shocked*
👍 Good
omg your fingers are so short! Very different!

OMG PLZ BE CAREFUL WOTH THAT😰😰😰😰
You have very small hands
you are really living dangerously showing people to cut with a scalpel toward their thumb, though we all do it at our own risk, you should embed that message or something in your video, leaving yourself up to get sued if they cut themselves doing it which is very easy if you are not careful.
Maybe they people doing this project have common sense.
Shut up. Get over yourself. Stop being human.
Common sense is not so common 🧠🔮
Its a exacto knife and its used for things like this. Used in crafting. Ur ttpical crafter will know to be careful. Its not a scalpel.
Kaye Findley she’s the idiot that cut her thumb LOL
