    EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE! BUT HOLY SHIT!!
    6 - 7 years ago I was travelling with my daughter from Rotorua back to our home town of Tokoroa around 11pm.
    As we drove up Tar hill, I saw on the right hand side of the road a very tall pale looking man with thinning hair, a bare chest with short arms that were hunched to its side, however the lower half of its torso - I can only describe as the bottom half of a goat?
    It crossed directly in front of the car from the right side of the highway to the barrier of the left side in 2 maybe 3 strides!
    I looked at my daughter straight away who was looking straight back at me with the same look of - wtf did I just see? And do I say something?
    I asked my daughter if she just saw a man cross the road in 3 leaps?
    She replied “ Yes I did see that, but I don’t know any man that has the bottom half of a goat for its body?”
    We had both seen exactly the same thing which crossed out a simple case of “ parabola “.
    The next day I told my best friend - ( who’s Iwi is from that area ) about what we saw and she told me what and who it was.
    As I am a Māori from the Waikato I had never heard of the goat man either, I now know who he is and what he protects and I am humbled he showed himself to us.
    He is a Taonga ( special gift ) for the forest wildlife and Kaitiaki ( guardian / protector ) of a sacred crystal that is hidden somewhere in our forest and is the source of my people’s Mana - strength, honour, pride, dignity etc )
    I believe in quantum physics and mechanics, and I know what I saw.
    I know what

    Excellent video as usual Mr Miller, I would like to add that the maori have a legend of the "Taniwha" which fits the description of the sea monster you've mentioned. I had always wanted you to cover it in on of your videos, So Thank you for that. Also I myself am a New Zealander and id like to thank you not butchering the place names in your video which is no mean feat as most foreigners do, So well done on that also.

      The goat man one I've heard but not referred to as a goat. A good friend of mine saw what he thought was an apeman or basically a tall two legged creature with black fur. He watched it move across the valley as he sat on a ridge scanning for Deere for about 5mins. Somewhere in the kawekas towards taupo

    Hey Ben Miller I have two questions.
    First how do you research your videos? Second could you please make a video about cryptids in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and generaly about cryptids in central europe?

      Hello to Germany! Wie Geht's Dir? I always enjoy hearing about where all my viewers are located! I will look into doing videos on a few of those areas that you mentioned and will give you credit for it in the video that I make. As for my research I have a few avenues for information. I do utilize the internet to a degree (not for Wikipedia but for newspaper articles and first hand encounters) but I also read books extensively on topics I want to cover. Not only this but I occasionally discuss some topics with people that I may know who are knowledgeable of a certain area.

    Mr. Miller, I have recently came to find your channel. I am very sceptical of people and stories they tell. I have listened to your reports and candor and feel that you are sincere about being neutral in your assessments, even though you do call things as you are lead to trust your suspicion. I would like to share some things with you. I prefer not to share them here in open forum. If you would like to share an email address for me to contact you, I believe you would not regret me reaching out to you .
    What I have to share is long-standing and incredible. You are the first I have thought to share with as I believe you are open minded and nonjudgmental. Be so kind as to respond or post a way to contact you. Thank you, what I have to share is true and matter of fact, and not isolated. I am a very respected and responsible individual in my community. Please touch back.

    The Witirekie is probably a small species of otter that got released into the wilds of New Zealand and unlike all the other invasive species(which New Zealand has a lot of sadly) didn’t have a explosion in population so has gone unnoticed so far. Also the supposed mosasaur has one thing inconsistent with what we know mosasaurs had, a tail fluke which the creature lacks and if it is a surviving mosasaur then there would’t be very little reason to lose it as it would help it swim faster. And would’t a large marine predator that breathes air be a bit more noticeable especially with nothing to predate on them(accept orcas but the ones near New Zealand eat mostly fish) so the population would be a bit bigger then a few members. Also kiwis are the last member of the Moa family so don’t let them go extinct

    • @BenmillerIceWolfVideos
      @BenmillerIceWolfVideos  6 лет назад

      Thank you for all that information! Let me start off by saying that I was unaware that the Kiwi were related to the massive Moa! It does sadden me that those adorable birds are becoming extinct. When looking up the Waitoreke I was confused as to if they are a known species or still in the cryptid territory. With any deep sea creature I leave the possibility of them existing open but I do still think many stories revolve around the mystique of the unknown.

    • @jamesathersmith2191
      @jamesathersmith2191 6 лет назад

      Ben miller yes I hope kiwis don’t go extinct, there such unique little birds and they lay massive eggs. If people were seeing a prehistoric spook fish (with some species getting to be bigger then a great white) then I would’t be surprised if it’s still swimming around, but an air breathing mosasaur that hunts large prey would’t stay hidden for long.

    2:04 "However the original tribe known as the Maori, who originally faced being lost to history due to a bloody invasion are still able to be found." Ben, your Leftist brainwashing is showing. In historical fact, the European settlement of New Zealand was one of the least bloody and treacherous in history. When the Europeans arrived, it was the Maori themselves who were torn in bloody civil war and cannibalism resulting from overpopulation and environmental degradation. Maori life expectancy and quality of life rose significantly as white settlement advanced, as they began eating better and fighting less. Please learn actual history before quoting the false politically correct narrative pushed on us by the anti-Western communists who control education and mass media.

    • @BenmillerIceWolfVideos
      @BenmillerIceWolfVideos  6 лет назад +2

      There are a few true statements in this as well as quite a few inaccuracies. First I am registered independent and support only those who help my line of work. As a strong conspiracy theorist the idea of being brainwashed by any governmental body is kind of funny. Now for the Maori I am well accustomed to their history. The tribes did have wars against each other in the 1500s which was almost 100 years before European contact. After the encounters it was fairly tumultuous but you find this with any indigenous people against new settlers. When the settlers returned their intent was to gain control of the territory under the guise of a treaty to accept British rule within the Treaty of Waitangi. Tribes who refused this were considered rebels and were attacked. After that ,much like Native Americans, a new deal was set up under the Native Lands Act which cost the Maori most of their property.

      You are getting banned on RUclips? I have a couple videos that are yellow tagged and one that is flagged due to music (Top 10 Iconic Cars) but they never ban me. I am sorry to hear about your troubles on this platform.

    As is usual, no sources are mentioned whilst listing anecdote after anecdote - sigh...."Many paleontologists are driven to believe...." Can you name a single one?

    this is so funny ahahahahaaaa !! born breed new zealand 50 yrs this may 1968-2018 there is NO cow foot man or any sort of thing like it .. been up and down both islands many many times ... camped every where yet NEVER come across anything at all ever ! BEN MILLER YOU ARE FULL OF LIES

      Telling the public about the lore and stories from an area makes me a liar? My purpose of making videos isn't to add my input but to rather showcase the ideas and sightings from locations many people may not visit or know much about. It seems I frequently see comments where some viewers almost assume these tales are my own creation but they are not. As for you stating you never saw a creature I described doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Many people report bigfoot sightings while others never see one in all the time they are in the forests. I personally have never seen a coyote in all my years in the forests of PA but people hunt and kill them all the time. In the end you can believe how you want to and that is fine with me but I did want to tell you my point of view. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

      You may want to re-listen to that part as I didn't say "she was drugged" I said "she was drug". Anyway have a great rest of your day!

    none of the real maori stories are here. im sure the hobbits would appreciate some publicity.

      I am a bit confused as a few of the creatures I covered were in fact from Maori lore. I could be wrong though as I didn't visit New Zealand personally but many of the articles I read and found while at the library and searching the internet all went back to the same culture.
