"the drink" is a water bottle that the drivers get throughout the race the keep hydrated. It's been described as more of a "warm tea" than water because it sits between the driver and the engine so it gets very warm.

indeed. it has a line, to a button, and then to the helmet. so they didn't connect the line from button to helmet. What raikonen was asking if the line to button was connected. If so, he could empty the bottle by pressing the button (just dumping the water out of the not connected line), and loose some kilos.
Other than the warm part the rest is obvious. These two are just stupid.
*Context for some of the cases...*
1:20 - The driver (2x champion, Fernando Alonso) switched teams to McLaren in 2015 with the promise of another championship win. Turns out they built some of the slowest and most unreliable cars on the grid. Fernando was clearly not happy.
1:38 - Fernando Alonso compares the engine in his McLaren to a slower "GP2" engine. GP2 (now called F2), is basically the feeder series for F1. It's like comparing a top level sports team with a high school level team.
1:43 - Fernando enters his 3rd year with the poor McLaren cars, and says it feels even worse than the previous year's car.
1:49 - These two are teammates (Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez). Colliding with your teammate's car is one of the biggest sins in F1.
2:20 - Fernando Alonso clearly is still not happy with McLaren after his car broke down again.
2:54 - Fernando Alonso was so sick of McLaren's bad form, he decided to skip the 2017 Monaco GP and race the Indy500 instead (to win something called the "triple crown of motorsport"). His former teammate (Jenson Button) stepped in as his replacement for the Monaco race.
3:35 - Overtaking another car by cutting a corner is illegal in F1. You have to give the place back, or you'll get a harsh penalty. Fernando says 5 seconds is not harsh enough. The other driver (Jolyon Palmer) retired from the race due to a transmission failure. KARMA!
4:41 - Kimi Raikkonen. He doesn't care about anyone else when racing. He'll just speak his mind whenever he wants.
4:51 - Kimi wasn't happy with how the other driver was racing. The other driver was "Paul di Resta", a former F1 driver who took a job as an F1 reporter when he was sacked by his old team. The original driver of the car (Felipe Massa) was unwell, so Di Resta subbed in for him for 1 race.
8:24 - The driver of the Ferrari (4x champion, Sebastian Vettel), was fighting the 2 Red Bull cars. Max Verstappen (in front) was slowing Vettel down so that the other Red Bull (Daniel Ricciardo) could overtake him.
9:00 - Lewis Hamilton was in a championship fight with his teammate (Nico Rosberg). He was leading the race when his engine blew up. That was pinpointed by fans as the reason why Hamilton lost the 2016 championship to Rosberg.
11:11 - The "drink" is literally a bottle of water the drivers use for hydration. The Ferrari team forgot to connect his bottle, so he had to stay thirsty throughout the race.
12:17 - The driver (Lando Norris, aged 19 at the time of this race) was in his rookie season. He was in P4 throughout the race in a car that could only dream of such a result. With just 1 lap to go, his car broke down and he retired from the race.
13:36 - Sebastian Vettel spun his Ferrari into the grass in the race. When rejoining the track, he hit the pink car (Lance Stroll). Ironically, Stroll says "he came back onto the track like and idiot" while he himself pushes another driver off the track while rejoining the race.
13:54 - In the last race of the season, Lando Norris was saying goodbye to one of his longtime engineers, "Jarv".
15:12 - Remember what I said about colliding with your teammate? The Ferrari drivers, Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc bumped wheels, giving them both punctures and ruining both their races.
15:31 - This driver (Pierre Gasly) is always emotional when he scores a good result, but this particular one is very important. He started the 2019 season with hope, as he just joined one of the best teams in F1, Red Bull. In just a few races though, it was clear that Pierre was struggling to drive the car, and he was being destroyed by his much younger teammate (Max Verstappen). Half way through the season, Red Bull decided to kick him out and demote him to one of the slower teams. In a sick twist of fate, on the first race weekend after his demotion, an F2 driver and childhood friend of Pierre's (Anthoine Hubert), was killed on track during the F2 race. Few weeks later, Pierre scored his maiden podium in Brazil (while driving the slower car), and dedicated it to Anthoine Hubert.
16:08 - Ending on a much lighter note, The driver here (Carlos Sainz) heard Sade's 1984 hit song "Smooth Operator" on the radio during the British GP. The song was stuck in his head, and he sung it after finishing P5 in the race a couple weeks later (as shown in the video). Fun fact, this radio message earned Carlos the nickname "The Smooth Operator ".

So with KIMI( the i know what i am doing guy), he is basically a no bs racer who does not care about anything else. and he is probably the most adored and memed racer in f1, and add to the fact he was probably the greatest natural talent ever

And now Kimi is living a happy life as his son’s kart mechanic. Saw a video of him working on his son’s Kart and I have never seen him happier.

15:22 The german effectively said "My god, was that worth it?! What a load of goatshit..." He and his teammate ended each others race there. Sebastian Vettel (ferrari, car nr 5) has 4 world titles to his name, but this scene right here was in the later stages of his career and retired after the 2021 season.

5:54 when Kimi says he thought they were the other way around, he is talking about Bottas and his teammate. Each team has two drivers, and sometimes the other drivers mix up where the cars are placewise when they look the same.

They are like that because they're under a lot of pressure during races. There's racing to be done after all and those cars are extremely physical and difficult to operate at pace. It's hilarious they have enough capacity to do everything and have a chat at at the same time but comms are absolutely necessary to give them info from the team and vice versa.
You guys need to watch the Suzuka 2005 GP. Greatest grand prix. KIMI KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING

Fyi, retiring in F1 simply means they didn't finish the race. It's not reffering to an actual permanent retirement. So when they said he retired, he ment he didn't finish the race.

@@RealFansSports ah yeah it was a bit dicey for the practice sessions but despite some teething problems the race itself was one of the best of the season

@@RealFansSports Well there is plenty of written media for f1, and f1 has its own app. I can't really suggest my favorite media since thats in german and i doubt you understand that ^^. The race is a ok-ish yt channel in english for example that keeps up with f1, but their videos are tending to be a bit bloated mostly sadly

the drinccc, he didn't had anything to drink during that race because the team forgot to connect the bag, kimi wanted to know if the bag was emptying because it weighs on the car

They have to drink during the race. Especially during the hot races in hotter climates (Arabia, Bahrain, etc)
the tube is going through the helmet to their mouth, but the team didn't connect it to the bottle on the side or behind the driver seat.
It's really hard to get to f1 so they are so competitive and with f1 driver comes status that rare ppl ever get. So they are bit assholes but funny at same time.
15:35 Gasly drove a midfield car the jr team of Red Bull, and just won a drag race against Lewis Hamilton for the 2rd place podium position if I recall correctly. The year before he got berated and there he scored the podium with a car that had no business being there.

Drink thing is for the driver to stay hydrated. Singapur is a really humid place on earth. Fromer British drivers, like Damon Hill, used to put tea in those drinking bags because it gets so warm.
Plus drinking bag can also be used for weight distribution. There is also a tube that goes out of the car to ditch weight when you race on a colder day in countries with lower humidity. At that race Kimi wanted to ditch that water so he asked all those questions that made no sense.

Soo annoying that you keep stop starting the video all the time, you cut out important radio messages right in the middle, why not watch the video and then comment afterwards. Kimi Raikkonen 'Leave Me Alone, I know what I'm doing' is legendary, you cut it right in the middle and it totally lost all impact.
