If Baron reads this I have many suggestions, like if you like any of them so he can see this.
Part 1: Small, short=term, QOL improvements
- Let us pick which barracks we respawn at
- Make buying bots a paused menu like it is with node upgrades, it would just be easier and let us think about it
- Add a spectate option, maybe you could even switch back and forth mid game
- More game customization, like being able to control the difficulty and unit spawn rate for individual factions, or being able to start the game with certain upgrades or some of the nodes already captured, depending on player choice.
Part 2: Long-term ideas for new features
- A sort of battle simulator mode where you can spawn in bots and make them fight
- A map maker of sorts, where we have an open plane and can place our own obstacles and nodes
- Battle customization where you can set different win conditions, such as capturing a single specific point, destroying a certain number of enemy bots, surviving long enough, making the most money, or being the first to take a neutral AI fortress.
- Steam Workshop support (duh)
Part 3: New bot ideas
- Burger Cult specialist: The Summoner, it summons burger-spider-minions as its ability, they attack enemies and explode when they die, and they die after their lifespan expires
- Neobotics specialist: The Laser Sweeper (kind of a bad name sorry), as its ability shoots out a large arc of energy sort of shaped like a boomerang laid flat, which damages anything in its path. Armed with a fairly normal gun
- Dross specialist: The Junker, it rolls around on one wheel like big bot, but it's not so big and moves real fast. It regenerates health on kills because it uses the scrap parts from wrecked bots, and its special ability is to plant a mine that explodes when enemies get close. It's armed with basic lasers and fast-firing quad rockets on each arm
- Ninja Bot, armed with a pistol and laser knife, its ability lets it teleport a short distance and go invisible for a short time (10 seconds or so). Invisibility deactivates if it attacks, and it does extra damage from behind with its knife
- Scout Bot, its ability is being able to use the ball morph like the player. It also moves faster than normal and it has better pathfinding AI, so it can jump over obstacles or drop down ledges, allowing it to keep up with the player. Lightly armed
- Protector Bot, big and chonky. It deploys a laser-dome-forcefield-shield-thing over its squad that absorbs all incoming fire and instead damages the Protector Bot. It has a lot of health but weak weaponry, and its ability is to become completely invulnerable (along with the squad under its protection) for a few seconds, which is useful for rushing an enemy position. Expensive and weak to explosives
- Leviathan Bot / Juggernaut Bot / Mega Bot. It is basically a mobile fortress, and would need to be made with a special barracks upgrade, like Big Bot. It consists of a huge platform that either hovers or walks on spider legs, with a barracks on top that can be used by the player to buy basic bots but doesn't spawn more automatically. Players can also order their squad onto the back of a leviathan in the squad, and then control the leviathan, allowing it to act as a transport for a limited number of bots. It has a decent quality cannon on its front, and the barracks on its back can be upgraded for extra firepower. Very expensive
- XP Bot, who is a more expensive basic trooper that makes you gain XP at a faster rate while it's alive.
- Crash Bot. Its ability is to launch into the air with a jetpack burst, and then aim at a target and go barreling into it like a meteor falling from the sky. Good for mobility and getting behind enemy lines. It is fairly expensive, has a good amount of health, and it's armed with a machine gun (and possibly a shield?)
- Shock Trooper can use its ability to send out a shockwave that pushes enemies away, stunning them and potentially knocking them off the edge of the map to their doom. Kind of like the shouter in TABS. It doesn't affect Big Bots (or Leviathans), but it does do damage to nodes and turrets, like an explosive.

7:29 kinda looks like an explorer with waves of demons attacking. possibly a rogue-lite aspect to it?
thats what i thought kinda like a endless wave survival game kinda like that vampire one he played a while back
Maybe add traps, like an electricity trap or a mine trap that will explode when a bot touches it

I would love it if the feral bots became a playable faction, I love there look.
Another suggestion would be give the feral bots there own versions of the big bots, and the feral big bots have there own ww1 esthetic (maybe tank tracks instead of wheels and cannons instead of machine guns to give that tank vibe to it). You could make it like there’s only a limited amount on the map so once there dead you don’t have to fight it again
This would be great to see, the doughguns would be so fun to use
I think this may be the best Bot Wars map so far. And the feral bots would be so cool to add as a new playable faction. They have so much character and more of their own flavour.
I love huge mechs and war-torn battle fields so this map is :chefskiss:

in 2914, World Bot 1 kicked off when Duke Bot France Botinand of the burger colt was on a trip to Botopia, was assassinated, the resulting chain of events cause all the Bot factions to declare war on each other, causing brutal trench warfare for the next 5 years

I have played this game a little, and have understood the pure chaos that can happen when you add zeroes to some numbers and use primarily mortors and eyes of sauron as your defense turrets with a combination of max tier barracks and max tier generators combined with a couple big bots. Explosions everywhere, death everywhere, glorious fun all around.

Just bought the game. how the hell did I not know you've had your own Game. I really like the concept reminds me a bit of Classic battlefront 2 with massive maps and base building, would love to see an Multiplayer mode in Bot Wars 2 👍

Not sure if it would be unfair but, I was thinking about cloak bots, these guys will have cloaking device allowing them to turn invisible for a limited time and will lose their effects when firing, attacking or capturing, and probably something to counter that is a MSV bot (Multi-spectral Visor) those bots have basically equipment to bypass cloaking devices.
Note: this probably might be too hard to program so i recommend adding this when the game is out of early access

It'd be really cool to see just bigger units. Maybe higher tiers and a little more customization for the units with the factions
I thought those bots reminded me of the WW1 German shock troopers or even better, Death Korps of Krieg
When you create a map, you should try creating a war going on in the background. Like AA guns firing at the unknown ships, or ship cannons firing at the ground. If a spaceship fires a cannon, make it a small chance that it hits you or the enemy on the battleground, just to add more feeling that you are fighting a war. Also, when you are going to add vehicles and air vehicles in Bot Wars?

I became an over powered Roomba bot with a one shot killing grenade launcher, with the power to heal by collecting coins (which I had a lot of) and do more damage and have more health as my wealth increases. I also lead samurai robots. That's my story.

Suggestion: if the feral bots on the ww1 map survive for a very long time, mark v tanks will spawn as tie breakers.

The new map is great baron but the bots feel a bit out of place like the dark map and the bright coloured bots don't go to well together so maybe have it so the bots on that map be just covered in mud and dirt

Suggestion: in the ww1 map, there is a hidden Easter egg like the UFO in ravenfield but it's a ww1 style space ship plane which if you heal using the medi bot will start flying and help you defeat the enemies.

There should be a brief animation when you die, so that it’s not as confusing when you suddenly switch bots

Idea for the Dross's special unit The Scraper.
They are a mountain of metal made from hundreds* of bots haphazardly cobbled together concealed by "tanky" heavy armor (which can be shot off revealing bots writhing in agony :D). Their head uses prototype Big Bot head armor with a large added jaw, the glowing eyes of the robotic husks peer thought it's on visor. A weapon that they use is a crossbow like blaster its semiautomatic but can be charged to unleash a lot of damage in a wide area. it sprints on all fours but is unable to sprint forever and it also very slow. can "eat" enemy bots to regain heath.
One small problem with this map, the bot pathfinding ends up resulting in the bots only taking one route across no mans land.
you'd think that a super advanced robot society would create some sort of flying machine. So what if in the next update you could add a new type of unit and upgrade: Air base, And air units

Suggestion: A secret easter egg hidden somewhere on the ww1 map which let's you play as the feral bots.
I think a the ww1 bots would be a good playable faction the melee weapon for them could be like a bayonet and there tanks could be ww1 tanks
I also think that an undead faction similar to that of necrons wold be cool as well

Suggestion: you can obtain the feral bot's weapons by a green box in the central no bot's land base for 1 life.
have you thought about making this game playable with friends? like against each other on different factions or also co-op. I would definitely buy this game if that was added.
Suggestion: the feral bots on the ww1 map have a small but not impossible chance to spawn with officer hats but there can only be 6 feral bots with the officer hats at once so not every feral bot is an officer.
Unfortunately I ain't got a PC but I'd definitely play this if I did
I remember when we were fighting to see who could be the first maybe 10 to buy it. I think I was the 7th person to buy it. Got my moneys worth out of the game. Can't wait for the said new game and break it as much as possible :)

I just bought bot wars and it is quite fun it is very buggy (But it is in early access so that is to be expected) and it is very easy to quickly become unkillable and do so much damage that even as the basic unit you can one shot everything even big bots, turrets and bases with the gun (That is enjoyable but I'm just mentioning that incase that isn't intentional) but overall very fun but I have just played for about an hour including the tutorial (Which was very fun by the way) and a break where I left the game open on so I haven't got much experience with the game but what I played was fun
You should add a bomb unit that runs at the enemy and blows up

Bot idea: Radio bot. The radio bot is a weak, backline unit that has a low-damage smg but he is equipped with a radio that can call in artillery strikes or Ariel strafing runs.
These can be called at any time but is costly with lengthy cool down and you have to get quite close to the location you want to attack but once it’s out it will be devastating to an enemy position
If baron reads this then I hope he could add it to the game and tweak it to perfection
