I like this guy a lot more than the head lady in Criminal Minds. They both had their issues, but Hicks was able to step up for the good of his teams. He even stepped up when he really shouldn't have, like being there for Annie when she had her brain tumor and waiting with her until Deacon got there. I was heavily skeptical of Hicks from the first episodes, but he really grew on me.
I've used fentanyl medically for an operation I had done. I also live with a chronic pain in my back. Gotta say, I didn't feel that back pain for hours. Tiny bit of fentanyl, and it lasted pretty much the whole day. Like I said, that was a TINY amount. A large dose like the one Hicks described, and the amount that was kicked into his face, those were MASSIVE doses.
