From everyone at Mondlicht and us talking there, thank you so much for giving us this opportunity, for coming to our speech and for Blender being what it is 🙏🏻 great event, great people!
Great talk, Blender is so good for Automotive and Product design yet it lacks so much content in that regard. Glad it was represented at the Blendercon again this year.
Great presentation. Too bad the German automotive industry is currently choking on its own arrogance. But I think with their quality, it won’t be a problem for them to find better customers. 👌
For rigging, we will need crabwalking as more and more EV platrofms are staring to have that. Myself working on robotic platform could use it right away. But companies loke Hyundai and others are pushing for those modes of steering.
That's a good point! You can actually do that already with the custom animation handles in the rig from the video. They allow you to keyframe the turn each wheel manually. The only thing is that the wheelspin wouldn't be automated for that movement.
Hey 👋 Okay, thanks for letting me know. Even though we wanted to show the tool we use at Mondlicht Studios, we tried to keep it to a minimum in the overall talk. So hopefully there is some general information about automotive workflows, tips and tricks that are still helpful for everyone. :)
I don't mind it - I haven't used their addon but it looks like it's doing things that'd take forever to actually figure out DIY. Then to release it for such a fair price when other software packages would have it as a subscription. A lot of this knowledge is (or used to be) gatekept in other software too. So even though it's a paid add-on, it's elevating Blender into an industry that it can excel in and it's making it accessible to a lot of people. Perhaps before seeing this video people had no idea that Blender could do things like this to such a pro level too.
@@wattux RBC is also a great tool. I have been playing around with it myself, but I think it's not as optimized for art directing the motion of the vehicle. I hope you will find that LC can be a good alternative as well.
I thought the addon was a tool developper by Daniel or is it developper by mondl8cht. Doesn't really matter I guess. I was looking at their website 2-3 weeks ago, it's crazy how much great work they have. Not everything is blender. But their quality is so good. Awesome work

Launch Control is incredible, legit the best add-on for automotive animation.

I tried to comment, but RUclips keeps deleting my comment
Look for polyfjord, he has tutorials about it
If im honest, the intro was so vague. Dont know what to think of it. Not sure what the connection to vlender in that aspect was really
This felt like a commercial for your add-on.

@@DanielVesterbaek i was using the RBC rig addon for cars but watching this made me want to switch to lunch control

That’s quite good, the only thing left is for blender teal to create an actual realistic render engine.

What was that?!!!!!! This is the reason blender will never be a serious software!
