Thank you for uploading this video. I am battling coronary heart disease and I am only 42. I grew up in church (which has since been renamed Carter Memorial Church of God in Christ) and the choir used to have the congregation up on its feet every time they song this. I know God will take care of me...but it is so nice hearing this song!

I sincerely hope you won your battle with coronary heart disease and are able to read this 5 years later (7/2023). I had quadruple coronary bypass surgery several years ago and, by the grace of God, I’m alive and well in 2023. God surely takes care of us!
There are at least 3 different renditions of this song "God will take care of you". Milton Brunson's version (in '79), James Moore ('80's), and Edwin Hawkins' (presented here). Isn't it amazing how God can anoint different people to write the same song 3 completely contrasting ways? What a mighty God we serve...

I love the Hawkins family and Walter is so gifted. His voice is full of the Holy Spirit and he is a phenomenal Bishop. I will listen to Walter and Lynette Hawkins songs for the rest of my days. Walter died so young, yet his strong, amazing voice will continue to live in my life. What is marvelous, great man of God!

This is the closest to the rendition performed in the movie Leap of Faith with Steve Martin. in fact, it almost sounds like this choir had done the voice over for the movie. Since this was done in 1989, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't as the movie was released in 1992. I love this version. You can feel the Spirit in this song.
