I like how this franchise has expanded to the west in popularity, but I think they should not try to appeal to the western audience, and make them do there own thing
Exactly, Yakuza has the best fan base in recent games, less toxic, majority just want to have fun, of course they will be complaints about the ever changing combat but overall Yakuza games are fun. I would never want to see Yakuza getting as big as Assassins creed, where everyone complaints about every little thing. Pleasing everyone will only end up pleasing no one.

If I wanted an alternate retelling of the Yakuza series with the Kiryu saga, I would make Kazuma Kiryu a Terra Chad. Have so many babies mamas like 15 of them. Be a trillionaire with $10T USD. And would have never saved that so called best friend of his who turned out to be a snake, Akira Nishikiyama. He would thoroughly stabilize the Tojo Clan as the 4th Chairman in his tenure. For Kiryu's yakuza faction, I would call it the Kiryu Foundation.
darryl has bass but he is incapable of conveying any real emotion. He has improved since yakuza 1, but listen to the roars he does in 7. They aren’t even roars, as much as they are gasps of air.
