Why does the guitarist use a capo?
@@meishuxing This is how the arrangement is written. It simplifies the guitar part considerably to play in Em and just capo up to F#m (the original key).

“played together 2009-2018”, I can sense a certain feeling of sadness in that statement... I can’t imagine that it would be for the wrong reasons, sometimes life takes us on different roads of course, but still, I think it’s quite sad. I hope you ladies still meet sometimes and make music together, you are just Exquisite together, there is positive energy and good chemistry going on there.
I too felt very sad about the period ending 2018.Sad for the possible other reasons which you appropriately did not mention. Hope everything turns positive and they reunite!

Yes, I love this piece. When I lived in San Francisco in the late '60s, early '70s, this piece was played every night when the local PBS station went off the air. Its beauty haunts me to this day!

For some reason, I became aware of this piece only today. It's as beautiful as Faure's The Sicilienne. These musicians are extraordinary, and of course, I'm more aware of the cellist because she plays the lead, but the harmony is perfect. So haunting, this piece. I'm wondering what else of Faure's I may be ignorant of? Now, that thought roils me.

Geeze Louise....it struck me as rather a melancholy piece....but I'm laughing and crying at the same time!While I know they've practiced more than I've blinked.......still the timing seems incredible.....and the ending was such a joy to watch and listen to....I just burst out in laughter amid my tears.....that has never happened to me before that I can recall.
