Great video. I "discovered" this bike on another site. It immediately piqued my interest, so now im doing the research. My last two rides were H-D; '47 Knucklehead and '02 FXDWG-3 CVO Switchblade. At 71yo, I'm ready to change it up.
Good review and sales pitch. I spent 3 years riding in South Africa on the BMW 650: first the 650CS belt drive, then 650GS this bike single cylinder and then 650GS twin cylinder. All good bikes. I now ride the $30K R1200GS liquid cooled but you know what I miss the 650GS single and believe it is the best bike for adventure riding: light, comfortable and inexpensive
HAHA I'm from Cleveland Heights and I'm thinking of getting one of these out here in the PNW where there are LOTS of areas to ride them. I spy my other bike in the background, the '06 Multistrada S. Peace guys I'll stop in sometime when I come to visit Pops.
@@ClevelandMoto Yup. Actually lucked up and found a sweet '12 Tiger 800 I should be retrieving tomorrow. I can't be riding that Duc in shitty-assed PNW winter rains... no Sir. That bike will only appear during the winter a couple times a month when the sun shines and it is completely dry. There. That's my excuse.
If anyone wants to emulate Ewan and Charley, they need to get one of those absurdly expensive giant Milwaukee electric toasters. But who seriously wants to do THAT?
@tode vole I am talking about MY experience I have had with MY 2000 f650gs. You are free to talk about your own experiences with your bike which I will respect. I also have a tengai, tt, kr250 and vfr750 all of which I am and have restored, maintained and ride as a hobby for many years so I can qualify my remarks to this bike I regret buying. I still like many bmws just not this make and model. So
Nonsense. Most reliable bike ever made, including more reliable than my Honda. Can't fault this bike really. The only small gripe I would have is that I'm not a big fan of the red color but many like it. Get one of you can, You won't regret it.
@@edbroaotearoa1198 exactly! You are talking about 'your experience' and telling everyone willing to listen to not buy this bike because of "your experience". Thinking you are trying to slaughter the BMW rep because you bought a bad bike, maybe used and possibly never properly maintained but by golly, DO NOT buy the f650gs cause you said so! Darn skippy.
I just bought one 11/8/2020. 2006- 19,600 miles. $3000 with hard plastic cases, brush guards and larger windscreen. Craigslist add.
These things are big fun for a bike that works great with shorter riders. It's impressive to see how well they get through gravel too.

I was looking for a review of this bike as a "used best buy"...yours is a honest, concise & well explained. I'm actively looking for one now!
Glad it was helpful!

Your pitch is so fluid. You should have a tv show!
Love the humor :) I can relate to so many of these "must have" additions.
Your presentation and elocution is perfect. You could sell jets. Yachts and countries for that matter! Tv show for sure!
Used to own an F650GS. Wish I still did.
Best bike ever. I have a '99 F650 and I love it.
yep-, they're like loyal farm dogs. We had one for years and it was very tough to sell.
Cleveland Moto Harleys and no helmets, the Cleveland way 🤣
I really want an F650GS but now I'm worried this guy won't respect me.
The whole revi
if you really worry about what another guy thinks of your bike, you sir, are in the wrong sport
Brilliant, informative video 👌👍
Glad you liked it
What a beauty!
The ADV beak on this one.
Yeah, 13 years ago, The Schnobble was all the rage and this certainly dominates, I laugh at anything with 2 front fenders.
Very good explanation very usefull, excellent
Glad it was helpful!
I'm having issues finding a reliable source of information on a reasonable mileage I should expect on this year model
Your Mileage Definitely May Vary. I found 50 mpg was about average.

Excellent, we love the PNW and our friends keep moving there. Some of the best riding in the world.

"Heated handlebars are cool" 😆
Here in Australia we need Cooled Handlebars . I wonder if BMW can accomodate this option?
I’m 6’1” and 255 lbs. Do you think this bike will fit me?
I’m 6’00” and 185. With a 32” inseam. It fits me as far as my height, and has more than enough motor for your weight.
If you find one, get it
I'm 6,1 feet tall; would the seat be too low for me?
No man i'm 6"3 and no problem at all
Yes who can I pay 💰
That F650 sold a couple years ago.
What’s the seat height on this model?

I love electric, but I'm fully cringing watching the latest adventure.
Cleveland Moto I here you bro. What some will do for money.
I’m in the UK and I’ve disowned both of those greedy fools.
german motors always good kwalitie
👍👍👍👍👍..........😜😜😜
Don't buy the f650gs unless your a BMW technician or over 40 with money. I own one and have had nothing but dramas.

well then good thing I work at a motorcycle dealership and mechanics shop eh
if you couldnt maintain the 650 you should not go near any motorcycles,,,geeezz
Nice bike but just riding to drink coffee, a little overkill. 😅
Maybe scooter would be better. 😁
