I have just built the 180-X. Going to use the 0.8mm nozzle at 5mm layer height.. what print speed mm/s do you recommended? I’ve run it at 100mm/s and looks half decent! Thinking around the 60 - 80 mark may be a good trade off on time for increased quality?
When it works it’s great. But we have had more fails than good prints! It’s extremely unpredictable and also has no fail safes. So if something goes wrong mid print it will keep going and can potentially destroy its self over night. Which we have had happen twice. I’d highly recommend only getting this if you’re tight on budget. We have never been able to use the whole build plate as it’s just not good enough for it.
Hi Chuck I have a big 60, had it for 2 years, still can’t get it to print properly Printing with petg and 1 mm nozzle Modix said to print at 245c but this was boiling the filament Any tips on settings Thanks Dean
Just seen your comment and though I’d try to help! Have you had the PETG out long from the packaging? PETG needs to be dried before printing. You normally have to print PETG around 230 - 240 mark with a bed temp of around 80
There are a couple great RUclips channels you can use to setting info too. I am getting ready to buy a Big 60 for a small business that I need to print pieces that are 23 inches. Thomas Sanladerer, Maker Muse, and CNC Kitchen

@@simonwoodworks8840What are the not-tight on budget alternatives ?
Interesting review. Where do you get the filament for that and what size are the rolls? Particularly ABS
How much time it took to print this motocycle part?
What filament are you using to print your large parts? Also what are your settings if you don’t mind sharing?
Any filament works, probably is 0.3 mm filament and spools of 5 kg or 3 kg,unless is 1.75 filament

how much is this? how much did you pay ?
maintenance cost?
You do the maintenance, probably just spare parts for extruder and hot end, rails are hiwin so they need just oil

Sorry but this guy didn't tell us anything of note, more like a add for what he is doing not a review.
Approximately five minutes of "reviewing" on what he is working on and about 20-30 seconds about the 3D printer with minimal details.
