She can only blink 3 times before her accelerator fizzles out. Also there is a fixed distance for her teleportation, no further.
If you still don't understand, it's like a math equasion. Say, 3+2+2. It won't change the answer if you put the three in the middle or the end. You will still end up with 7
Personally, I respect Scout a lot more than Tracer since she requires her chrono accelerator, while Scout got that fast using nothing but himself

Hey guys just a quick update. There were many many comments talking about "Hammer Units". I apologize for not using them as they would've given me a much more accurate speed of the scout as its a legit measurement for tf2. I tried finding it but I couldn't, but I hope you are still able to enjoy this video!

Depends. Even though there are those HU/s, you can compare 1100 HU/s from Soldier's rocket launcher/RPG-7 with his speed. You used only gameplay and pixels which isn't a real way to do it.
There's even a point in the museum she Blinked that far as she left and Scout has his Bonk! that makes him a blur. Don't worry. It's a nice debate on game speed.
Using the console command "cl_showpos 1" you can see how many HU/sec you are moving under velocity. 100% speed is 300 HU and 133% is 400
That's correct. His speed is roughly around 106 m/s

+Mixa well, it's true. Go watch Meet the Scout. Soldier's Rocket Launcher is basically the same as the RPG-7 which moves at 294-295 m/s and it outran him like a very fast ferrari against Usain Bolt.
Try dividing 294 m/s with 1100 HU/s(Rocket Projectile) and multiplying that product with 400 HU/s(Scout's speed). That should be the actual movement speed that many debaters would do when it comes to such feats.
Plus, in the same Meet the Scout, he ran towards a Sentry suicidally before going inside the warehouse. Which means, running through the gunfire of bullets moving at around Mach 2. So, it should be safe to say that 106 m/s is the speed.

I'd like to add a little bit more to this:
Scout runs 9 meters every second, so that's 29.52 feet.
A mile is 5820 feet, so 5820/29.52=178.815.
That's how many seconds it takes him to run a mile.
Divide that by 60 and we get 2.98, or juuuust under 3 minutes.
So Scout runs a touch over 20mph! :O
Nah, if you run it through a converter it will show that 9 meters per second translates to 20.13 miles per hour.

According to the official Team Fortress Wiki, the Scout's normal speed with the stock loadout is 400 Hammer units (133%) per second. One Hammer unit equals 1/16th of a foot, so his speed would be 400 / 16 = 25 feet per second, which equals 7.62 meters per second.
When using the Baby Face's Blaster with full boost, the Scout's speed increases to 520 Hammer units (173%), which is equal to 9.9 meters per second.
100% in TF2 is equal to 300 Hammer units, which equals 5.7 meters per second.

The tracer you used to measure height is sort of hunched. Knees bent and a little sloatched, so calculating her height the way you did would be inaccurate.

Well it wouldn't have mattered as in it wouldn't change the overall result, but it'd mean tracer covered the distance in a longer time at the end
Not to mention no real tracer player would use all three passives instantly because the recharge rate increase the more you use it.. defiantly that early in a race.

In the bit with tracer, you measured her slumped over, in a combat stance. Her official hight is with her standing straight. I'm not sure by how much, but considering how slumped over she was, I'm sure this skewed your numbers.

Usain Bolt's top speed is 23mph. The Scout's running speed is 9 meters per second (20 mph). Not only is this fast but we can assume that this is not the Scout's top speed because of how much he runs. If he runs at this speed for 3 to 10 minutes at a time, he is definitely an endurance runner meaning that he is running at just below his top speed. The Scout is faster than Usain Bolt.

I don't get why people are getting mad over this. The math pretty much checks out and made appropriate approximations considering the fact they come from different in game mechanics. Scout clearly has the better base speed, abilities considered, the speed boost from the Baby Face gives him a greater advantage, and Tracer's Blink ability gives her small boost similar to a short distance sprint. Her rewind ability only makes her go back in time so that ability is useless in this race. Honestly, Soldier 76 using his Sprint ability against Scout seems like a better race than Tracer.

Considering the fact that they're from different times and universes both are fast in their own respect. If we put them in the same universe yes, tracer is fast, but only because she has assisted devices. Take it all away and she can't compare to scout. We're talking about raw talent and physical ability which she lacks.
