One biggest thing I would highlight anyone to learn from Harkirat is not coding or tech, but ability to do research, or LEARNING how to LEARN. Rest tech stack, coding styles, AIs will come and go. If you have the ability to navigate through new information and get actionable outcomes, you will do well. Coding is something you will do only for few years, then later you will be dealing with people only. I have seen Harkirat do these research work really well. That is something to emulate.

If we are only going to code for a few years, why learn to code? Do MBA and think long term.

    • @wreckball2315
      @wreckball2315 8 месяцев назад +26

@@noobnessmee You will be coding minimally even when you become Software Architect/Principal engineer or Engineering Manager/ Director/ VP of engineering. A lot of these profiles do not necessarily require MBA.
Coding is something that can be done greatly by junior and mid level engineers. But as you grow, your work will revolve around aligning teams. As a Principal Engineer and Architect, you will not only think about the architecture and scalability, but you will need to align teams and techies anf even OTHER ARCHITECTS that will eventually work on the architecture.
As a very senior engineer, you will so engrossed in your higher level work, coding time will be a luxury. And honestly, you will be too costly for the company to code. A mid level engineer can code, so why would company want an architect, who might be 3x to 4x costlier, work on the same stuff? As an architect, you will be mentoring teams and techies as well. Coding yourself, you will be snatching an opportunity from your techies to grow. Id like to put architect role like a Coach of a team. You will guide your juniors, but eventually it is them who have to go and play (and code).
This human interaction is one of the most underrated thing in tech. And this generally does not require MBA.

It's not about coding in the future..AI will do..Focus more on solving the problems in different approaches by justifying business use cases.
This is something no one will teach you.. It's the exposure you just get in the career journey ASAP to survive in the future..

7:31 Thank you for your guidance. I've realized that participating in GSoC has become quite competitive. It's no longer solely about being knowledgeable; rather, it's about who has contributed the most. Many individuals who have dedicated themselves to multiple months of consistent contributions are the ones selected. Starting a new project, contributing extensively, and then striving to stand out can be emotionally taxing. It's a harsh reality of GSoC that it shouldn't be viewed solely as a competition. And Yes, in 2015 it would have been less competitive compared to 2024 haha. At last thanks for your motivation tho. My friends are calling me 'Harkirat 2.0' after watching this. It's motivating me to put my head down, work hard, and strive for the best. I'm determined to apply for GSoC this year.
    Thanks :)

Working harder wont get you NOT fired. Being in a subproject that generates little value will. This is a simple concept, if you want to actually work hard, work hard in getting into a subproject that is high value. Other than that, cruise. All things aside, Actual truth is IT industry is overflowing and over saturated after covid. Everyone saw the opportunity during the lockdown and now everyone is in the monkey race to get the IT job and do remote work. In 2021, major companies have over hired people with retarded packages compare to their experience and skills. and the result is now you're seeing. Companies also made tremendous profit during those time and after that they're now restructuring their whole staff (firing at senior positions, employees with huge packages and unallocated staff). And also there's lack of new projects from the overseas due to recession.
situation will get better gradually but it will take sometimes.

Hi I'm going to do by btech in amrita Vishwa Vidyapitham in artificial intelligence and data science engineering this year in 2024.😊 Bhaiya what should I look up to as in my field what projects should I think of doing and also what kind of roadmap I should have. This is obviously dependent on me and my experience as I gain but also my interest but the clear understanding of the path like what kind of vision should I have to look forward to anything. In this course obviously teach core cs subjects like oops, os, computer networks, DSA, etc .. but apart from computer science path what should I look forward to as with my degree as an artificial intelligence and data science engineer. Both in internships, placements and obviously the projects, languages, tech I will be learning.
Bhaiya can you do some reasearch and make a video on this topic. I would be forever grateful.
    Thank you

    Hey harkirat,
Great video with so much valuable inputs and information.
Quick question, for a full stack dev, who is new to web3 space, what would be the best resource/material to start learning and building things with web3? Same goes to ai.
Any inputs will be helpful 🙂

Currently I am a Frontend Developer. Do you think if I started Web3, I would be ready by the time it explodes? Would I be able to become competent enough in 2 - 3 months to get a job in Web3?

This month, I can't wait to join cohort 0-100. Could you please clarify whether the course uses pre-recorded content only or if live lessons are held in addition to the recorded videos?
I would be very grateful for your quick response.

Sir @harkirat1 I would want to be a part of the first cohort of the Live Full Stack Open Source Cohort. Please let me know if there will be a live session for this cohort that I am able to attend. I appreciate all of your time and thought.

Sir said The minimum you can do is get a 20-30k internship while the average salary for a senior dev in our country is 30k.

Need a detailed video on web3 for its 2024 roadmap & its futuristic analysis, I wonder if the job requirement will sky rocket in web3 space in the upcoming days.
