I've taken the decision to "rush release" the second part of this documentary to try and maximise the period that both parts are available. As mentioned in the comments to the first part, that video is currently under review for a copyright claim - and the same is now true of this part also (due to the "Come On Eileen" footage which again appears as it did in the original documentary.) Hopefully the 'powers that be' will accept that the usage falls under "Fair Use" as "Documentary" is one of the "Fair Use" categories.
01:10 Fun Fact: This is "quite possibly" the only moment in any Dexys documentary to feature footage of my living room carpet [top right of the screen]! The guy who put this together came over to visit me so he could film the images of newspapers, magazines, etc. Really nice guy, he took me for Pizza afterwards and sent me a copy of the completed video - from which this was transferred!
2003 was such an exciting year to be a Dexys fan; probably the peak for me to be honest. The amount of hype and mystery around the reunion was massive (at least within our tiny community).
Okay... I've been trying to piece the jigsaw together all day but I haven't quite got the full picture yet! You were clearly a part of that "tiny community" back in 2003 and I clearly know you - but I suspect your name-change is preventing me from identifying you!
Dexy's, for me, reached a real high point with the Too Rye Aye album. It is seriously good. Lots of soul. Interestingly "Eileen" was always my least favourite track on it. They dropped the ball after this, they should have continued the theme with the image and music and refined it gradually, instead of the radical change which lost everyone. A real shame because we all wanted more of what got us interested in the first place. The first album was also good. I still have a "Dexy's out" with the first two albums semi regularly, but nothing from later.

Thanks for this and all the other gems you uploaded.
Pity there wasn't a part 3 covering the masterpiece that is the 'One Day l'm Gonna Soar' album.

there's a lot of people in Italy that remember them as one of the most talented and creative bands of the eighties.
