Glad I found your channel. Have lived in the States for the past 20 odd years, and have never been back to the UK. But I will be moving back to Scotland at the end of the year to retire. This channel gives me a good idea of what is on the shelves and prices, so thanks for posting.
Scotland is not as cheap as the UK. But its like M&S you pay for what you get. Elgin area is nice and so is the Glen Eagles area. You can have afternoon tea in the Glen Eagles Hotel. Now that set me back a few pounds lol. Think it was £250 quid for the 4 of us. But worth every penny real quality and spectacular settings.
On Sundays, my brother and I visit our elderly mom (91!) and treat her to a nice lunch. A couple of weeks ago, we took these Kiyiv pies, all 3 of us really enjoyed them!
For those remarking on the cost, M&S do a full range of pies, These are their GastroPub top-of-the range but they do others down to about £2. Their GP range also has chicken and leek and beef and ale. All 3 are gorgeous.
How could you resist not grabbing pie out of oven and taking a bite . Looked excellent . I like shopping at M&S , lost two stones as can’t afford full meals there . Price cheaper than Charlie Bighams stuff now

Hi Bald, M&S food is some of the best big chain supermarket food out there, but after trying this pie the other day it left a nazsti taste in my mouth! Keep the vlogs coming because as far as food related reviews go you dont go overboard and come across as a pleasant,Funny and most of all honest which means everything when doing these food vlogs.
Great review as usual. I always make myself feel better by thinking how much you would pay in a nice pub for a pie like that with some homey chips and veg. Round my way in the South West probably £10 to £16 or £17. Obviously, you are paying for the lovely pub ambience and atmosphere, but when I put my Virtual Reality goggles on at home, I can be anywhere.
M&S oh yes, we used to do our Christmas food shopping there years ago, that brings back memories, will definitely try one of those in September, what a great video thanks,😊
Something remarkably similar available in Aldi! When I used to go to the farmers market [before Leeds council killed it] the woman I got my meat from told me she supplied Tesco, M+S and Aldi - they all got the same product!
I hear this a lot. People slate the Aldi meat for example but someone in a comment section here used to work for a butchery (they mentioned the name) and he said it all just went to the different supermarkets. I honestly think that a lot of the nicer quality people talk about with M&S is down to the packaging and the way they present the shopping experience, as I've had plenty of ready meals from there that were nothing special, and the luxury pies you get at other supermarkets are probably no worse than this. I'd rather get a Charlie Bigham one for the same price anyway!!
It does look very good, indeed. It is one of the few products that looked almost the same as on the package. With HP sauce bold and peas and asparagus, would make it fantastic.😊

£5 for something the size of Scotch Pie? I agree with your conclusion, and like another commentator has said only 32% chicken. But it has to be expensive, as it not just any old gastropub pie, its a Marks & Spencers' Gastro Pub pie.
Great review that does look absolutely delicious but it would have to be a really special meal wouldnt it for that price. They do whole meal deals that work out a lot better...but it does look yum!

I love your videos - very ‘down to earth style’, no one should complain if you talk whilst eating! Anyway, your expressions give away a lot. Yeah, I agree M & sc are a tad expensive, but for us, they are great thing, because I used to be an amateur chef, but can no longer cook, because arthritis has robbed me of the use of my hands (I am over 70), but miss the meals which I used to cook. My wife doesn’t like cooking, so the only way we can get good easy meals at home is either from M& S or Waitrose. A request; could you do s review on Charley Bigham’s meals? I find some better than others - he does some good pies, but yes, they too are expensive!
Too pricey for me, I'd rather spend a fiver at my local butchers and get two for that price and they're much better pies too. Thanks for another honest review 💜💜💜
M&S do some proper chicken kyivs that are really good in the same range. Not cheap but really good, actually seem good value compared to £5 for this pie. Love a proper chicken kyiv when it's decent chicken and not where they make a blended up paste to form into a big chicken nugget type thing.
