- Final step in this series of making a surprise fun sitting area out in the yard. Today we are grouting this mosaic with a gasp presealed grout. This is our final step. I love it!

You're gonna get me in trouble😫... this is so beautiful!!! If I didn't have a deck I know what I'd put in its place. It sparked an idea to revamp my firepit mosaic and would love to pull off something like this. ❤it!

That really looks terrific! I wonder if it might give a stained glass look if the grout was black? What are your professional artist opinions on that? While still keeping a white thin-set under the glass for effect?
Thank you! And you are correct! A black grout would make it look more like stained glass. The contrast of the dark next to the light reflected back through the glass from the thinset is a fantastic effect! (I made one many years ago.)
Really nice work Tamara! Did the grouting take care of any sharp edges remaining, especially with the pointy glass pieces? Typical tiles are slightly beveled or smooth at the edges, that why I'm curious!
Thank you! Yes, the grout smoothed out the few places I was a little worried about but no sharp edges now.
