Great episode. I found myself laughing like the Gandalf meme because Mattie has always been on the more woowoo side of Christianity while I found myself more focused on the visible/natural. I've since come to a more biblical understanding of the spiritual side and demons, so it's cool seeing brother Mattie approach from the distance as we close the gap in our theology.
We actually record with a site called Riverside.fm It's like a normal video call, though it records all the audio and video separately and at full quality. It also features a built in editor, though I hand edit and make sure all the audio is leveled out a bit better than what it does. 🤟
I heard an interview one time from an Orthodox exorcist out of Romania. He spoke about one exorcism where at the end the demon said "Christ the conqueror" and left. So we need to be walking in that mind set like Mattie says. The age of peace as come. He has already won

I can see that. I think sometimes I have too. BUT I think the issue then would be that we would be putting words in Christ's mouth. And that is something that we have to be very careful about, even when it comes to artistic creativity.

Repentance and renewing your mind don't imply demon possession. Neither does sinning imply demon possession. Also being manipulated by the devil doesn't necessarily imply demon possession. Here's the real question, can the Holy Spirit and a demon inhabit the same person at the same time? I think it was actually semantics to say a demon may possess an area of your life. I think it can be equally said, a demon may influence an area of your life, which would not be possession. Not trying to be rude, I did enjoy the interview. Especially the main point, which was ministry should be Christocentric and Gospel centric, not excorcism centric. The Gospel message isn't just excorcism, if a ministry is only focused on exorcism and doesn't preach Christ crucified, that's a problem.

I don't know, and I don't think we can really say. I get the logic though, and we can say that he was an instrument of God's will. Maybe it was the Son after all. It's an interesting subject. were three "three man" the "triune God"? Like I said, it's interesting, thought provoking.
