- In this episode of The KingdomCore Podcast, Chris and Sean talk to Leroy Hamp, vocalist of the legendary War Of Ages! Many things have gone into making their new record "Dominion" an astounding album, and we hear about the recording process, the artwork, and of course the drumming. Leroy talks about July 2022, when WOA Drummer, Kaleb Luebchow passed away suddenly and how the band dedicated Dominion to him. We say it every episode, but we feel like this is truly a special one.

Man, this interview was great. I didn't know who war of ages was, but dominion came out during probably the worst time of my life, and I found it, and it helped keep me alive literally.
That's amazing man, God is good! 🤟🙏
my absolute favorite album by these guys are return to life idk what it is its soo good
It's a goodie!
I love this band and can't wait for the album next week
Freaking hyped for this!!!! Four new singles have been absolutely amazing.
This album is amazing! cant wait for you to get to hear it!
What a crazy story! I can't imagine losing a bandmate, our drummer is my little brother... Man.. crazy! Looking forward to this!
The most humble man I know. Love you Leroy. Amazing podcast. You guys rock so hard you boulder.
Awesome podcast, can't wait for the new album! Love War of Ages and always followed KingdomCore. Man I hope they tour for this album, not many bands come to south Louisiana but Houston, TX is close enough. It's great hearing the common ground with faith and belief in Christ. Keep rockin' brothers! 🙏God Bless
Their new album’s amazing! I usually say stuff like this a lot, but I think this is their BEST album. RIP Kaleb. I absolutely cannot wait for the day God calls me home and I’ll get to meet him, Spencer from Scarlet White, etc. but most importantly I’ll finally get to see my dad again. The thought of that is really satisfying
RIP ALLLLLL OF OUR GREATS AND GREAT LOVES... we'll be there with them soon😊❤❤❤
@@lindygrrl658 Amen!

Luv this, also luv the 08 Steve stuff, also Leroy...you can't get mad that terror's drummer didn't know your name if you can't remember your session drummer's name...just sayin❤❤❤
Their new album is going to be great
Yeeesssss it is!
Dominion is incredible. Been listening since the Pride of the Wicked days and this hits just as hard.
Sean showing his age when he doesn't know Leroy Jenkins.
I know right!? 🤣🤣
I can't hardly breathe lol
Sean and I are both 26 but I'm a memer, I member Leroy Jenkins. Sean is a boomer.
I was listen to the Podcast last week before the album was released but it mades me very hungry to listen to the full Album.
And year I was impressed to hear that story and greatful to see Jesus in the hole journey.
Great stuff.
Thanks for your effort with the podcast I believe it's very helpful for people all around the globe, cause there are good bands that have a longing for Jesus in every continent but it's important to knew an benefit from eachother.
Thanks guys for doing your part for that network I hope you are able to continue in that way.
Greetings from the oremountains Germany 😊
Thank you so kindly!
Laodicea rocked my socks and my soul. Thank you for this podcast!
Thanks for listening! Im so happy everyone can hear the full album now!
Awesome interview! Great questions and dialog. War has become a favorite track for me. I'm really digging the additional screams from Elisha (I assume, since it sounds like his screams on The Burial's stuff) on that one. Complements Leroy's style really well. The whole album is on repeat for me daily, though, and will be for a while.
Thank you so much for the feedback, we really appreciate it! This is definitely one of our favorite episodes!
This is going to be my favorite album by far. I have 4 copies of the first but going to get a few of this one for my friends.
🤟🤟🤟
Absolutely LOVED this episode! I was smiling the whole way through this (Minus the Lueby part obv) and it was very heartwarming hearing Leroy talk about how he wants to change lives because it seems like some bands are more focused on the entertainment part (which is fine) but I’ve always had dreams of being in a band and God only knows if that’s His purpose for me, but I’ve always wanted to change lives and minister to people. When I was younger (I’m turning 21 in a couple months), I actually wanted to be a preacher but I never really was good at putting a sermon together and stuff. But ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved writing songs. But I’ve never been able to play an instrument and I actually don’t have any friends that listen to Christian Metal so I’ve always felt like those songs would never reach the people I want so every now and then I’ll write like a chorus and post it on my Instagram so that even tho the words may never be sung, at least people can read them and maybe, Lord willing, get encouragement that way. But basically what I’m saying is that I’ve always gravitated towards bands that are there to spread the Gospel first and foremost, and War of Ages has, ever since I started listening to Christian Metal in my Freshman year of hs, always been one of my favorites so it was great seeing how passionate Leroy is about that because that’s exactly how I feel and hopefully the Lord makes a way for me bc even tho it seems physically impossible in my current situation for me to make music, I feel like God has given me that passion for a reason, and if God does make it possible, War of Ages has definitely already been an influence in my writing so I wanna thank Leroy and all the WOA boys for all that they do, on top of y’all, I’ve been a follower on Instagram since last year and I’ve loved what you both do on each of y’all’s pages so keep doing what y’all do! God bless y’all!
Tl;dr: I absolutely love the passion WOA has for touching people’s lives and I hope to do the same one day lol
Thanks for sharing!!
My best friend and i flew out to cali in 2017 for facedown fest. It was a check off bucket list . Soild interview.
Definitely hoping to someday! Thanks for sharing!
I’m enjoying these podcasts. There really good. I like Christian metal
Thank you so much!
Great stuff y'all!
Thanks for listening dude!
I've been feeling God's conviction with the music I've been listening to. Coming back to the christian metal scene. Trying to spin music that actually sings about Jesus. Haven't paid close attention since the late 90s. Just found this podcast! I'm subbing. I also just discovered War of Ages because of this podcast. Very refreshing!
That is amazing! Thank you for watching and subscribing, there is definitely a wide variety of bands to find in the Christian scene!
I appreciate the Leeroy Jenkins comment.
Also, the 5 kid gang is epic. Way to go Leeroy!
🤟😅👏
🙏✝️
I have a theory about the heaviest breakdowns being the simplist drum beats. Think of Godzilla's footsteps: ominous and earth shaking heavy. I think this cadence is so menacing, as it matches a church/town bell tower.
New to this genre can someone recommend other similar bands to this one that are biblical.
Hey sorry I never replied. Definitely check out For Foday (disbanded), Wolves at the Gate, when Forever Ends, Intercessor, Convictions, Reformed, basically any band we've interviewed on this podcast 🤟🤟
Saw them in Beijing.
Woahh that's sick!
Jesus is Lord, and that's the most metal thing there is 👑
🤟🤟🤟🔥
