This was the era I grew up in I met Dan Wheldon at Indy on this same season was one of my favorites along with Helio and TK saw Dan win at Kansas Speedway in 2007 and 2008 and both his Indy 500 RIP Dan I appreciate the older era I've gone back and watched those races and I appreciate the current era now I love the road courses but one thing that bugs me in this era 5 ovals on the schedule is not enough it needs to be a 20 race season of 10 road/street courses and 10 ovals
Loved IndyCar back in then... I do like it nowadays as well of course, but we lost A LOT of ovals which were on the schedule back in 2007 and who are not anymore nowadays... :(
never cared much of Homestead before, but after the race in Texas this past weekend with the super low downforce, i think a race here could be a lot of fun. it would be really tough with the long radius turns
I guess it's a matter of loyalty to be honest.. I like the road/street racing in the IRL but the racing on ovals. I miss this oval along with some others and Sam Hornish Jr., that guy was awesome. In my honesty, I tried a couple of times to watch some Champ Car races back in then and I took a so called NASCAR nap multiple times during those races... Simply nothing happened there, it was always the same merry-go-round racing. Bourdais was dominating everything.. I'm glad that we got rid of CCWS.
hornish was one of the smart ones. Its the reason why he will never return. He forsaw something as bad as wheldons death even before it happened, thanks to paul danas death
